sure, anything is 'cool' if you can fit it in a refrigerator for long enough.

Definitely Civic or modern NSX taillights for me.

And is that a bad thing? I've owned both Accord & Civic coupes.

Not if I was buying a Honda sports car, but in my Toyota sports car, not so much.

I wish they'd shaped the taillights closer to the Gen 1 shape...
Even if they kept this type of smoother shape, I think it would look better if the bottom edge tapered outward towards the wheels (instead of tapering in towards the center of the trunk).

Still very subjective, but it just looks a tad bland and pedestrian as it is.

That side skirt area looks really off. I'm thinking it looks a lot better in real life (hopefully)

Sad thing is that over the evolution of car design, there's less and less individuality and eventually, say in 50 years, the non-enthusiast is not going to be able to tell one car manufacturer from another, IMO.

Man I really want to like the car. I really want it to grow on me. It doesn’t, it hasn’t. Don’t think it will.

The design looks dated already to me as well.

No it’s not bad at all. For the Hondas. But in my opinion that tail light design is just quite plain and generic. Seems like there are so many similar ones on other cars. Not eye catching, not individual.
I just wish they’d taken the care to give the car a more unique look, that was perhaps an evolution of the first gen design. The first gen was a pretty unique look at the time, and it was quite well received.
That’s how you build an identity for a car, and a following, IMO. Look at Porsche. No doubt from one generation to the next that you’re looking at a Porsche 911, Cayman, or Boxster. The only angle where the 2022 recalls the first gen car is the greenhouse side view from what I can see.
I think that was a missed opportunity by the design staff.

to balance all the dislikes and folks who need glasses to properly see proportion and not plain shapes...

it looks great! love the hips like before, really dig the sleek and modern tailights, love that they black out the cover, the rear window being a bit wider makes it look more substantial, diffuser looks awesome and I really like the license plate location...can't wait to see it some toyota-only colors ^^

where were yall when the twins first came out?? there were plenty of folks that thought (and still think) the twins looked like total shit, either it looks like a cheap car or they cried that it didn't look like the concepts that came before it. Yall should go back to the threads from 2010-2012 and read through the comments..plenty of disgust..
