My 327 was in a '57 chevy, 4dr, 150. It was 0.030 over. 11:1 pistons. Edelbrock intake. Holley 650 spread bore. Hedman long tube headers. GM 300hp cam. Followed up with a Muncie M21. Those were the days.

My "327" pre-dated the OHV V-8s.

I called it the "V-8 flat head eater".

That looks like a 4 cylinder engine?

That's a Chevy "Stove Bolt Six". The largest displacement from the factory was 235. I can't see how you would stretch that an extra 92 cu in's to equal 327.
The center cylinder exhaust ports were Siamesed so it appears to have only four instead of six exhaust pipes.

Hey neighbour! This is the perfect time to be burning your plastic filled garbage pile! In an extreme fire alert with parched soils, not having rain for weeks, and wild fire smoke filling the air. Thanks!

What I meant by "My 327" was it was my favorite engine. -

As you surmised, it was a 235 cu in stove bolt 6.

If you look up the term "Random thoughts" in the dictionary, it is defined as thoughts that are random. When you look at the subject categories on our forum, this one is called "Random Thoughts".

So, IMHO, new2subaru's post is appropriate in form, content, and category.

It is the way.

I used to love burning trash when I was a kid. We had a 10x10x6 foot hole on the back of the property where we dumped trash then burnt it about once a month. My buddies and I also used the berms on each side to have firecracker wars (set up two armies of green army men, toy tanks, etc then lob fire crackers at the opposing team until there was the last one standing).

The only downside was if the hole got full enough Dad decided we needed to have a new one. Fortunately I grew up in the piedmont area of NC where the ground is pretty much sand and soft clay.

Agh, for the days we didn't know better.
