They did a great job, I did 30% in the front and 15% on the rear windshield. Looks great.

They had a menu style purchasing system, which I'm sure is negotiable. I went with the 2nd tier from the bottom, the next being ceramic. I paid $209. You could pay $160 I think to get it tinted with the cheapest stuff. Just an FYI for anyone that's interested in getting their windows tinted in austin.

PS, they were a solid no on illegal tinting.

illegal tinting? is there such a thing? lol

Yeah its a suck on nothing darker I would have liked 5 or 10 darker but too much and it looks silly IMO.

They claim it's illegal to tint <35% in texas on the front windows. It isn't. It's illegal to have <35% tint on the front windows, but not illegal to tint it. Kinda BS, but whatever.

And I agree, limo doesn't really look great unless you have a black car. On my FJ, I've got Limo all around, but it's a black car and blends well. The 3rd window almost looks like the paint instead of a window.

I read that Texas was 25% for the front windows.

http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/vi/...windowTint.htm
Shows here 25%

There's also a 90% factory tint on the windows as well? I wasn't sure if it added in or not, but I got the same story. They won't do illegal tint. I'm happy with the job they did though.

Hm, yeah I didn't think about the factory tint. The dealership called it "Privacy Glass". Has an amber look to it. I guess if 35% is the lowest we can go in Texas then I don't feel so bad about not getting darker.

It was nice meeting you man! Your BRZ is gorgeous and will look amazing on those sportlines. Be sure to post some pics!

Here was my alignment outcome:

I highly recommend Jerry's Wheel Alignment guys. They have good experience with FR-S/BRZ's now and their pricing is outstanding. Great customer service and people to work with. This was my second alignment since I put on LCA's. My car handles extremely well without any of the crazy negative camber. Very satisfied.

Ah you are right then. I was mistaken, thinking they had changed it to 35%. I don't think they offered 25%

Matt, it was great meeting you as well. I'll post some before/after pics tomorrow.

I also highly recommend Jerry's Wheel shop. He installed the Sportline springs, Rear LCA, front camber bolts (which I know isn't really anything extra), and rear toe bushings that came with the SPC rear LCA. The complete install with alignment took him 5 hours. Price for full install was $430. Way cheaper than anywhere else I went!

Jerry's one of the nicest mechanics I've met and is very honest and trusting. Don't be afraid to trust him with your car!

Glad you liked Jerry's! I called earlier in the day about something else and he said they were doing your car today. I'm taking a 350 mile drive on Saturday so I'll have a good idea what suspension tweaks I might want and it's definitely going to Jerry's to have the work done. Btw my name's Robert if he mentioned someone referring you :-)

Here's a full car pic with the Sportlines installed. It's hard to see the new wheel gap with the full car pic so I included some half car pics that show the wheel gap clearer.

Hey everyone

Has anyone heard of DIY texas? I had a coworker just mention it to me and it seems to be exactly what I've been looking for. Bay/lift rentals with tools, etc.

http://diytexas.com/

think I may stop by once I order some exhaust bolt ons and see how it is.

Yup! I just booked some time there Friday to finish my intake work (need to clean up the rest of the noisemaker). It's barely 15 minutes from me and has all the tools as part of the deal so I'm looking forward to it.
