For those of you who like big muscle cars, try bringing them here, in Europe.
My Toyota MR2 (or spyder in the US), is a 23 MpG car or 10l/100km car (in real driving conditions), in its "little" 1.8L NA 140bhp engine. I love it, cause it always travels sideways.

Bear with me in a small trip to conversion units:

100km in Europe for my car is 10lt, which costs here 15Euros, which is over there 20.71$, that you can use to buy 6.17gallons and travel in my car 141.85 miles, or 228 km. Let me make it clear: 100km in Europe cost the same as 228km in the US. So being the no1 superpower in the world, owning and stealing most of earth's petrol, establishing regimes and governments has its benefits. When the price of gasoline there is 8$/gallon, then come back and ask for the FT86 to have a 5.0L or 6.0L engine or even automatic gearbox. And when that time comes, I will be going sideways in my 2.0L FThachiroku, waving at the other side of the Atlantic, at people who prefer driving sideways a 60:40 weight ratio car rather than a 50:50 weight ratio car and spending three times as much!

Yesterday i was in a corporate place, they showed us a chart about who consumes the most petrol.

American consumed 18.8 million barrels a day ( this being the number 1 country using the most )

2nd is China with 8.3 million barrels a day.

3rd is matched up with some countries, like Russia. Im forgetting how much but it should be around 4.X million barrels a day.

1 more thing: America produces 9.X million barrels a day while importing another 9.X million barrels a day.

har har

This was all recent information, recent being Jan, 6TH 2011

By the time gas has hit that price even the bleeding heart environmentalists won't be able to stop an overall push to have the Government allow additional drilling in our oil reserves still in the U.S., of which its estimated there's enough (consider off-shore as well) to last the U.S. and then some ~100 years, without importing a single drop.

Stealing oil, good grief....Mr. Rosie O'Donnell isn't the only American y'know? And (s)he certainly isn't the brightest.

Like many I was torn between the first and second concept. but that Video on the second page made me fall in love with the second one lol. I'm still not sure about the led fog lights though.

I think the majority of members on here don't like the LEDs. And the rear wing. And the rear bumper/diffuser height. And the... Oh hell, might as well just go back to the first concept.

hehe... would u happen to have any info about this scion nonsense?

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/12/r...ed-scion-ft-s/

"We know the Toyota rear-wheel-drive coupe will wear a Scion badge, and now we might finally know what it's going to be called. The just-make-it-already Toyota FT-86 concept has evolved into the Scion FT-86 and word on the web is that the production version will be known as the Scion FT-S."

legit or fake?

No Comment. Even if I know this, due to privacy policy I can't say. In the whole packet I got, there was no such info was written/shown.
