yeah, i totally understand. racing stripes are a pretty bold move and can also get expensive. let me suggest vinyl badge overlays from here:

you can get badge overlays for your subaru badges with a yellow background and black stars (or whatever you choose), which will match better than the stock blue subaru emblems. i also added a matching steering wheel emblem, and with the discount code MRIMPREZA, i got about 15% off. my total shipped was around $20 (front and rear overlays, plus steering wheel). cheap and easily reversible if you change your mind!

I got badge overlays with a red background and silver stars and they add a nice contrast to my DGM car. i think yellow emblems would really set your green car off.

These are available in Europe. I like the way the follow the lines of the car. They extend all the over to the trunk...not crazy about the side stripes though.
