So I'm still waiting on my tune. I've sent the email twice and haven't had a single response... Anyone else have this issue? Does it take a week to get your tune?

It took a week and a bit to get mine, so I wouldn't worry.

I wouldn't worry at all, Bill isn't a fly by night tuner. He's been in the business over 13 years and has a stellar reputation. I would just try to be patient and understand that he is one man with hundreds of customers. Given that understanding, I'm sure he could just whip up a file and send it off immediately, but his reputation is for excellence, and excellence takes time Patience is a virtue, friend. You'll get your tune and it'll rock your world!

Hi,

Sorry about that, I try my best to get the tunes out quickly but over looked your emails. I do apologize and have sent out your map for your vehicle. Being it was over two weeks to get to you I have partially refunded your purchase.

Once again sorry for the delay.

Cheers,
William Knose

It has been said that some cars have this even with oem tunes(the knock sound when sharply slapping the gas pedal).
All my tunes correct the "tip-in" knock on forced induction and non forced induction vehicles. Using some custom maps in EcuTeK I we were able to completely move this problem from the vehicle.

We first noticed this problem in early tuning on the twin-screw supercharger we were working on for Innovate. Once we got that sorted we started applying those techniques to all of our tunes. So I would say about 99% of all our tunes on the market have our fix for "tip-in" knock in the tune.

Apologies if this has been answered, but can you make e-tunes for boosted vehicles while using the stock o2 sensor? I was under the impression that it isn't accurate in the richer areas.

Now that Ecutek has added the ability to connect a wideband to the secondary o2 lead, would it be preferable for a customer to set that up for your e-tunes or is that unnecessary?

Is this something you did, or just something that was implemented by various Ecutek updates over the past few years?

This is something we came up with, within EcuTeK Custom Mapping. We were having a hard time of not getting "tip-in" knock on the Innovate kit, being it was hitting boost as low as 2K and as much as 3 PSI almost instantly. Playing around with all the standard features in the OEM map, made it better but not to the level we wanted. So we worked on something over a period of a month or so and developed some custom tables that are implemented in every tune we offer.

It definitely curbs the "tip-in" knock a lot, even on NA vehicles. Was definitely worth the time, especially for our track customers.

Cheers,
William Knose

Is this the honda map sensor you had me try out with my innovate kit? It kept giving me code of "low circuit voltage" or something, after driving for a few days. I eventually took it off. Do you think it was damaged?

I think that one had an issue or something else was going on. I only saw this on two cars, and the second car was because it had a leak on the stock map sensor.
