So that would have caused a coolant leak?

No, the nipple seals coolant and also seals the chamber the laminova core sits in.

I also got code P0171. Hopefully the shop figures out what is loose.

From what I have heard the 3 areas to check
Little black rubber the clear pipe which fits on the actuator, check if pin hole
The 2 grey L connectors must be supr tight, even then could still leak. Advised to just to take then out and put Teflon tape to be sure.

After going back and forth trying to resolve issues with this kit and being told on many occasion by Sprintex that my SW is the issue. It takes finding the fault and raising it to get a response like this

We have found that the plastic elbows loosened from heat cycling. Currently we are tightening them in with the casting hot (after ultrasonic cleaning) which helps. After the system has heat cycled, We can tighten them a turn or two more.

Why not put out a notice to advise what has been established, so if we come across a possible boost problem we know what to look for.

I'm guessing those connections are pipe threads. If so, any pipe thread will leak without something to seal it. While they are an interference fit, there is still a path for a leak. Of course, having dissimilar materials that expand at different rates isn't helping either.

With the aluminum case that the fittings are being threaded into I would try to find aluminum fittings to replace the sprintex ones, but that would probably be difficult. Brass, IIRC wouldn't cause as much corrosion between the metals, but steel would be stronger. Either way teflon tape should be used, which should eliminate most of corrosion issues.

I haven't had any issues with my kit at all. The one grey fitting closest to the driver side has slight play in it (plus a tiny bit of oil buildup on it) but I haven't gotten any codes or anything. I am able to tighten it by pushing it.

Honestly, I know some people have had bigger issues (like the maf pin), but complaining about two fittings is not a big deal at all lol.

I've been so happy with my Innovate kit. I was a bit worried in the beginning about it being "enough" but its such a perfect amount of power, and I can't wait to get some injectors in and try e85 out (and also get my hands on an IC kit).

I believe due to the intercololer, there is more pressure causing air to leak through the grey L piece screw thread.

There is no boost in that area. That area is pre-blower and only sees vacuum. A slight leak there won't cause problems. A medium-large leak there will allow un-metered air to enter which could cause Air:Fuel issues and the ecu will try to compensate etc.

A lot of innovate owners have loose grey plastic fitings back there. They are minor leaks if any. I tightened mine down just for insurance.
