If a car has a VIN, then it is not a prototype car by definition. Maybe, they are special purpose "demo" cars.

Thanks again for the detailed write up and pictures. You pretty much just double confirmed that Ultramarine Blue is the color I really want. The color looks great in your photos.

Thanks for sharing your FR-S visit.
I wonder about the seat's width. The back rest and the seat
I'm only 5' 9" but i'm a muscular 200lbs with broad shoulders and longer torso. I wear a 34" waist Levis and a 48 sport coat. If I were going to wear sport coat, never.lol
I couldn't fit in the Rx8 seat. My back couldn't touch the back rest because my shoulders were stuck on the sides.
The mini cooper seats seem narrow.
How was the lumbar support?
Overall, It sounds like Scion did the FR-S seats right.

I'm in the same boat as you are. I also wear a 48 jacket and, although I'm not much concerned about head room anymore, I'm still concerned about the width of the seats.

Titusdrake,
Did you drive it solo in the parking lot? or did Mike drive with you?
With your size of 330 lbs, (which is the same as 2-165 lb people) then if you add the weight of Mike, (Well say 165 lbs?) Totaling to 495lbs, which is a lot of weight for a small little 4 cylinder sports car
My questions are, Did the car ever feel underpowered? Would it feel underpowered going up hill? Acceleration good? Did it handle well?
When i saw the test drives usually only one person in the car and you could see it accelerate and handle amazingly, but with the added weight does it still hold up?
Thanks again for your input.

Mike did ride along with me

It definately did NOT feel underpowered at all. I drive a 275 horsepower turbo, 3800 lb car thats pretty fast, but the fr s felt quicker, its hard to describe, you will know when you drive it, but it felt plenty fast for me, imo it felt way better than a 2012 305 hp mustang. I had to go up a slight incline and it wasnt lacking, it rode nice over a few speed bumps and i didnt take any crazy turns, just normal driving turns and it handled fine

AWESOME!!!!
I've had a deposit on a FR-S since the end of December. I can't wait!!
It sounds like the FR-S is truly a special car that will be a blast driving through the canyons, hills and mountains.
