@Anthony headroom for days interests me. Have you posted anything more than the teaser of the seat? I am curious about weights, mounts, etc.

Quick question - what's the gap between the headliner and the bit of frame running down the center of the ceiling? Also, what's up there? Never can find a good picture of a headliner-less ceiling.

I've got something cooking, just want to do some research beforehand.

Don't know, haven't gotten that far yet. But I'll take a picture when it's half-off so maybe you can see what the gap or stuffing is like.

FOR SCIENCE!!!!

My D80 actually died last year. I sent it in and paid $160 to have it repaired. Whatever. Then it just suffered the same death a few weeks ago. NOPE. D7000.

Composite Worx SP-1 Seat

A lot of people have been asking me about my seat, especially the weights. I plan to do a whole thread about installation, short and long term review, experience with the manufacturer, etc. But for now, here are the down and dirty numbers and photos.

Composite Worx SP-1 Single Skin carbon fiber seat: 7.025lbs
Composite Worx Universal Mounting brackets: 5.563lbs (WHAT!?)
Composite Worx Dress Up Kit: 0.175lbs

12.763 pounds total

I don't know. Still haven't even taken the CD player out. I'd make a really rough estimate that I've shed about 180 pounds. So if the car weighs 2,750 pounds from the factory, I'd be at 2,570. I weigh about 170, so at least I've done more than my own weight already. Hopefully...

Lol HEY. Maybe if somebody had sold me the car with all of these exact parts already installed, I would have had a good head start.
