DIY 2014 Navigation unit **FULLY working 6/19** Pandora/Weather/Traffic/ETC...

Just installed the headunit and Bespoke module in my 2012 tC tonight (I know, wrong forum, but you guys are the only ones with good information about these parts on the internet right now).

Pretty easy, plug and play, other than setting off my factory alarm and not knowing how to turn it off for about 5 minutes everything went pretty smooth.

I just stuck the GPS antenna on the metal bar/brace behind the headunit and it seems to work fine.

I haven't tried the Bespoke part yet, probably tomorrow.

Has annyone figured out where the album art comes from? Either iPod or Bluetooth it shows up on larger name artists (Eagles, Lady Gaga), but not on smaller or newer artist (e.g. Jay-Z's newest shows some generic genre cover).

I should add I have a iPhone 4S.

Album art only shows up if you have it on your device that is playing the music. At least that is how it is working for me.

Thanks for everyone who provided information in this thread, its been pretty informative. I have the 2014 unit in my 10 Series FRS and really want to add navigation but it looks like the only way to do that is to spend $900+ for Aha/Bespoke/Entune or whatever and I dont want any of that crap! lol I wish there was just a way simply and affordably add just navigation :-/

I use a $99 garmin and stick it to my windshield.

So here's what I've found. If I have the USB plugged in, yes. It pulls the album art from the phone. If it's connected via BT I don't know what's going on. On mainstream artists it shows the covers, but it doesn't pull from my phone. Example: I was listening to a Nirvana and it had the classic baby-in-water-cover on my iPhone, but on the head unit it was displaying a black cover with Nirvana on it.

Spotify is odd too. It's the same mainstream artist cover art appears. It doesn't pull the covers from Spotify either, at least not on BT. I'll have to confirm via USB.

I don't know where it's pulling the covers from, over the air somehow or is there just a large database of covers built into this thing? Quite odd.

Weird. I get the correct album cover art every time, so far. That is with bluetooth or USB connected.

The traffic is an app. It's on Entune don't know about bespoke. It is really good too helped direct me around rush hour traffic.

Traffic on aha is a preset. It pretty much just displays text and speaks the text telling you about traffic near your location. I once drove a Camry XLE that actually showed traffic on the GPS map for all major freeways/highways (like Google maps for iPhone). That's what I want! Driven base Camry, Prius, and Tacoma and have not seen that feature again. Most be a high end Toyota GPS module that has that or a hidden setting that I never took the time to look for.

You'll probably need the bracket also. To hold the module and head unit together.
