I have 17x9 +35 and it will rub up front unless you get some negative camber (I am running coilovers with camber plates so it fits just right). In rear the 17x9 +35 fit flush already on 245/40/17 all around.

How much negative camber up front are we talking about to avoid rub on the 35 offset 17x9 say running a 245/40 0r 255/40? and lowering say only an inch.... any ideas?

About -1.5* possibly even less.

255/40/17 below.

I would have to agree to the camber for the front clearance. 1.2 degrees and above are enough to clear the fenders when the suspension compresses (clarification assuming a 17x9 wheel in most cases - bigger will require confirmation as wheels vary alot). I am running Eibach Multipro R2 with about 1-1.25" lowered from stock and about 1.6-1.7 degrees camber up front and rear. Here is how it looks when loaded up in a corner and I do not rub at full steering lock either.

Squishy that's great info! Heck that makes me believe that a 18x9.5 40 offset may not need -2 either that's excellent!

Well with 18x9.5, -2 might be needed. You have to think of the inner strut clearance. Usually with that wide you need to look at the coilover clearance just as much as fenders.

At that size I believe it best to check with different wheels by experience as not all have the same layout with the rim placement despite the same offset.

Wheel/tire fitment

Hi all. I just had a question and was hoping I could get an answer from someone regarding this.

I would potentially like to buy a set of Enkei RPF1's w/ some pretty sticky rubber. I am also looking at buying a set of coilovers and I realize that's going to change things up with camber settings and whatnot.

So, I'm looking at buying 17x9 RPF1's and I just wanted to know what size tire would fit and look nice and flush? Let's assume I go with wheels that have an offset of +45 (stock).

Sorry if I'm wasting time or duplicating another post but it's really late and I'm super tired, just wanted to throw this out there before it slipped my mind.

Thanks everyone!

Check out the rpf1 wheel thread. You can see what people have done. Personally I'd go with 245/40. I'd post the link but I'm super tired too.

This.

I'm on 17x9et35 RPF1s with 245/40R17 Dunlop Z2s with RCE yellows and Whiteline camber bolts and COMCs and everything fits perfectly. Check my build thread for pics.

sorry if my info about fitment a few months back has caused anyone to buy these wheels and have the same issue

So it looks a little mixed, or maybe I'm missing something. I've been doing some research to see if some other Enkei wheels fit as 17x9 +45. I was told with coils there should be no issues with rubbing, so I'm thinking the ST coils because I only want that .8" drop. I'm hoping it works.

They generally rub. It can be cured.

I dont plan on emptying the bank on a coil set up. If I make sure the coils had a smaller body I should be good to go right?
