I chose the BRZ Premium because my ass is always hot, my mirrors will never be frozen, I prefer old school method of using the key to start my car, and the Foglight and spoiler can be had at a future date at a lower price once the aftermarket starts developing them.
Thats just my personal preference. Some people love keyless access /w start button, some like it but find it unnecessary(like myself).

LOL @ you young lazy whippersnappers, I remember when I had to physically insert a key to UNLOCK the door, then get in and physically REACH OVER to unlock the other side for a friend to get in. So the standard "keyless entry" of the FR-S and BRZ-P is just fine.

The car is great, and as soon as I saw its tail I know I'd made the right choice (for me -- your tastes may vary) between Premium vs. Limited. This being said, there is ONE thing I regret thus far with the Premium: the color mismatch between the HVAC controls (pale orange) and all of the other lit-up controls (the clock, unexpectedly, is not an issue for me as some other controls are lit up in the same color). Back to my question: does anyone have an idea as to whether the backlight for the HVAC controls can be changed to the same type lighting up the window switches? One solution I saw is here: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzbAtqc_5dQ"]Scion Fr-s/Toyota 86/Subaru Brz-Hvac Led Swap - YouTube[/ame] Results look good but process seems complicated. Any other ideas? Last edited by ayilar; 11-11-2012 at 12:47 AM. |

I don't know what the OP's decision turned out to be, but absolutely go for the higher trim at only $1600 more.

yes! i believe so! seems to be the "smart play",especially in light
of the fact the car's resale value will be boosted in years to come! it definitely will be more desirable over the other variants! |

Very good choice indeed! I think you'll really come to appreciate the keyless access and auto climate control most of all
