my car is about 100 lbs lighter, I cant say its faster, but I feel the car is little responsive and more predictable when turning.

For anyone who cares. It’s 155 euro shipped for oversized coated (black or
Blue) alt/water pulley with belt. 10 euro cheaper for non colored. 206$ after exchange rate fees for 1.65whp. Or 125$/whp not too far off a lot of na bolt ons. Plus .7lb weight reduction! Lol. Still with no other performance/hp mods left to do not too shabby.

I'd love to do a rewire on this car. There's a shit ton of harness there...
the stock hood is lighter than a cheap carbon hood. The good ones are lighter, but either way the hood is the last piece you should change, the roof and the trunk are better lightweight pieces.

For tracked car vents in hood are beneficial. And aftermarket hood with those looks much cleaner then modded stock hood (=possible reason to buy one). If not the high price of those though :/

Do you have a any links you can share?

It would be the last thing on the list but still interesting

Not specifically on a boxer engine, no. The vibration damage I was talking about was on large centrifugal fluid pumps, gas compressors, and their associated piping/equipment. It all takes a nasty beating when something is not configured correctly, or is out of balance.

Been thinking about getting the mishimoto fan shroud says 7.5lbs at 2300CFM. Figure if i do underdrive water pump pulley maybe upgrading fan shroud would balance out the cooling a little bit, and bonus weight reduction?
That's exactly what I was thinking of. I forum member is supposed to weigh stock setup before installing his mishimoto fan. He hasn't got back to me yet.
Not expecting much but if its 3-5lbs then its worth the +$200 bucks to me along with better cooling and an inch more space up front'

Also we found that the Drivers side fan is the extra fan for AC equipped cars. So for someone like me who has removed my AC I could either
A. Keep stock fan shroud and remove drivers side motor+fan
B. Go Mishimoto but only use the passenger side fan

either way it will remove weight from the heaviest part of the car (driver side front)

EDIT
click
With my AC delete I can manually turn on the fans using the AC button without worrying about the parasitic loss part https://www.ft86club.com/forums/imag.../party0038.gif

Can you post a link to what parts you are looking to buy?

That's what I hear stock hood is light as CF hood.

I also saw the CF roof saves about 9lbs, Looks expensive though especially after you factor in this would need professional installation.

The trunk is where we can do something as a DIY bolt on. Can't find any confirmed weights of stock trunk with stock boomerang wing. A real CF trunk while staying wingless should save a good chunk of weight, or adding back on a stock style or duckbill in real CF. The problem is most of these parts are sold to ricers who just want the cool appearance aspect. Its proving difficult to get any confirmed weights out there of the aftermarket trunks.

Are hollow sway bars available? I haven't looked around that much, but recall the ones I saw were solid.

Seibon hood weight gain is 6 lbs. Seibon CSL-style trunk is a loss of 2.4 lbs.

Found Rear in stock 14mm size hollow Cusco
https://www.counterspacegarage.com/c...m-brz-frs-gt86

The Front Cusco ones are smaller at 16mm than 18mm but most sites say they are solid some say hollow can't confirm. Cusco site says hollow http://www.cuscousainc.com/965-311-a16.html

Would be nice to find stock 18mm in Hollow. Don't feel the need to go bigger than stock on a 300lb lighter setup with semi-stiffer coilovers and stock width tires.

Tanabe also makes hollow ones 22mm front 18 rear which might be the best bet to increase stiffness without adding weight.

Eibach also makes some huge ones. They list the stock weight at 6lbs FR, 3.5LBS Rear. So overall wont be much weight to save. Even if the Cusco ones cut the weight in half you would only save about 4.5lbs total.
https://eibach.com/us/c-262-product-...roll-kits.html Assuming Eibach's #'s are right on the stock weight I haven't been able to find anywhere else??

That's sucks for the Siebon CF no point in changing except Rice
