@Sleepless would you mind emailing me the data from both? I'd like to compare, as when I've used both units simultaneously with a clear view of the sky, my data has never varied +-0.03

I don’t have the data. This was done at Pacific Raceways which has trees around it so can be GPS-challenging.
After a redo the test I’ll send you the data. I will use different units to help rule out a “bad” Solo 1. Stay tuned...

I'm looking forward to your next test. I have never had an issue with my Solo1 at PR ever, ditto for all the other racers I know that use it as well. Never an issue with GPS either. I suspect there's something else afoot.

Can you hard-wire a Solo 2 DL, or must you use the obd2 connector?
If you can hard-wire it, which cable do you use, the obd2 one with the end cut off, or the other CAN cable? |

Is there a way to download data but keep it on the AIM device in order to keep the fastest lap (in the case of best lap of day reference).

Had a chance to compare several GPS-based units simultaneously at Pacific Raceways and the Solo and Solo 2 showed very similar results. I also compared to a VBOX Sport.
This testing was done with different Solo/Solo2 units compared to the previous tests I posted. I spoke to the person that did the initial test and learned that the Solo2 came off the mount during a previous session so there is some chance it is not functioning perfectly. Conclusion, there is not difference in GPS performance between Solo/Solo2 (and VBOX Sport).

Download, and uncheck the "delete after download" box. If the on-board memory fills up, oldest data gets overwritten first. |
