Type-R aren't serious cars? Then was is? Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Murcielago, Porsche Carrera GT, Austin Martin Vanquish, Bugatti Veyron, BMW M3 or M1, Mercedes Benz SL65 AMG Black, Audi R8? What do you mean by S2k is for quirky and nerdy kids? I'm not fan of Honda, so I'll never buy S2k (no offense to S2k or Honda fan here), but I sure don't think it's for quirky and nerdy kids car. Example: C-West's S2k. That S2k ran 100th of second slower than Auto Signal GT-R (Unlimited AWD class) in '05 Time Attack @ Buttonwillow Speedway Park and took 1st place of Unlimited FR Class (2nd place was BMW CSL w over 1.5 sec slower than S2k). Oh also it was running stock 2L engine, only thing they have done is chassis, suspension & wheels/tires. ![]() Now if quirky and nerdy car can do that, what's so-called "Cooler" kids car? 370z, STI, Evo-X, R35 and all those 3,500lbs plus heavy weight cars? I sure don't wanna pay $32k~$85k. Last edited by ichitaka05; 12-07-2009 at 11:35 AM. |

I think I would probably do an H6 swap, sacrifice a little weight for more HP/TQ, but maintain my lower center of gravity.

My grandma used to do that back in the 60's with her Thunderbird down Indiana state highways going between the two restaurants she and my grandfather owned. Big deal. You base everything off how fast a car is in a straight. You talk of teenage kid cars, well, you sound like a teenage moron right now. The rest of us have grown up and realised there's much more to cars than just HP. This car (FT-86) is being engineered to be a driver's car. A car that attacks corners with balance and immediate response/feedback. Its NOT supposed to a drag car. For the bolded part: I totally agree! Cooler kids like light-weight, nimble, quick in the corner compact RWD sports cars with a responsive engine! Hmmm, well, guess that doesn't make you cool. |

Well thats the beauty of trolls. They're either really that stupid/moronic/simple-minded/closed-minded/retarded, or they're trolling.
I always assume they're not trolling and just bash 'em, except when the possibilty of not trolling is around if its something to educate someone on (like I did earlier with the 86 explanation). But this is a different type of troll. If they do end up to be trolls than we all know what happens to them. They get reincarnated as dog shit, because the karma gods hate trolls. That comes straight from the karma gods themselves. |

hey now, everyone's entitled to their opinions; and shoehorning a ridiculous engine in a car built for a completely dif. purpose does not sound far off from what some have done in the past. tho i do laugh everytime 370z is brought up, wth is with that car and people? that is no baseline to go off of... nonethematter, depending on default-- the only thing i'd consider is a 2.5 turbo h4 but to be honest i think the stock engine built up would be more fun

Hrmmm...
What's the best 6 cylinder that Toyota could throw in the FT-86? Is it a flat 6 or one of their V6s? That would put it head-to-head with a Z. |

Depends on which V6 engine Toyo put GR or MZ. Just did few research and looks like GR has 220~260hp (except for 2GR-FSE pushing over 300hp), while Subaru's recent H6 series is EZ, which they're pushing bout the same amount of HP. So bout 70~90hp off from current Z.
