My windows have only squeaked once since I have owned it.

Drivers side window when going all the way up after closing door. The day it happened it was very humid, muggy, and light rain.

That was the only time it ever happened.

When washing your car, wipe down the weather stripping and it won't squeak.

Yes, there is a tsb for the frs only that was recently released. There's a tsb thread around here somewhere. Definitely worth subscribing to.

I have the brz, and I loathe dealerships, so if you want open up the door panel and inspect those little shitty window guides. The most easily accessible one had a tiny stone speck on it causing my scratch. It's easy enough to get out. The felt might have come off on yours, so check it out. Mine was ok. Good luck.

The sqeeking is cause by water penetrating and affecting certain internal window guides, mechanisms etc. !There is a pretty new TSB out on this issue...probably due to a lot of windows freezing shut this winter...parts are back-back-back ordered since all of these cars have this problem. If you have not had it you are probably not driving much in heavy rain or rinsing with a lot of water and the using the windows right away. I had to call Scion and get a case # to find this out. Get it fixed!

I'm tired of taking my car in for this. It only started happening after the Freezing window tsb was performed. Window screeches at the very top, they tell me the upper rubber seals need grease. Lies. It doesn't screech when wet, like in rainy weather or for a few days after the tech sprays everything down.

Freaking idiots, they also scratched my window tint but paid to get it replaced. I am not going back for my 4th trip to the dealership for this issue. I don't have the seniority at my work place to take days off like this.

God help me the day I need any other service done at Toyota/Scion.

I am having my FR-S in today to address the window screach, Scion service bulletin S-SB-0009-14, and found out the bulletin has the incorrect quantity for repair parts, the tech says it needs 1 SU003-01617 per door, and 2 SU003-01616 per door. The bulletin has the quantities reversed. I am going to have to leave it another day because they have the doors apart. It gives me a chance to blow the dust off of my trusty 1996 RAV4.

My driver side window squeaked a little when I got in this morning.

Today was a very high humidity morning with fog after a rainy day and night. I have noticed this pattern with the squeak.

Here is my window squeak (more like a squeal). Happens on both windows whenever it rains, for hours after the rain has stopped even.

Considering a warranty claim on this...

So I have avoided many of the issues with my twin but just recently my passenger window has started to squeak and make a high pitch screech like noise while rolling up and down.

Anyone have a short term fix until I can get it to the dealership. My dealership is great but they are relatively small and there service department is booked two weeks out :/

I live in Cali and I cruise windows down a lot. I'm more worried about damaging the glass more than anything else
