I'm really taken with Old Skoo's Pinto Shitfiller (or whatever it was called) name. Toyota should brand it that.

This would be a huge disappointment... A car such as this was/is not meant to be a Scion under any circumstances...

Pinto Shittard Sport 2000

I laughed my ass off when I read that!

You guys are all worried about what toyota is going to call it. If you don't like it just get the Subaru version, I'm sure they'll give it a cool name. I love what BMW does and just gives the cars numbers, it makes it so much easier.

I hate companies that go with the all alpha-numeric naming schemes for their cars. I don't want to be driving the Toyota 3.1415926GT-S

Well that's like all the luxury auto companies: Infiniti, Acura, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Volvo, Saab & etc. Even Z is related to this category (even though it's actual name is Fairlady Z).

No matter what it's called, we all will more than likely refer to it by it's nomenclature anyway. Dunno why the name of the car actually matters.

Yeah, I can't think of one car those companies make that I would actually buy.

I'm not saying those companies don't make very good cars because they do. I just don't find any of them attractive enough to spend my own money on them. There always seems to be something from a competitor that interest me more.

Marketing gurus will tell you that companies go with the alpha-numeric naming scheme so that people will identify more with the BRAND instead of the model of the car. I find that kind of snobbish and it annoys me. I like cars not brands. If you make a car with the specifications I'm looking for I don't care what brand it comes from.

And many people will miss out on a lot of very good cars because of their ignorant brand snobbery.

Scion just plain sucks!! I hope it rapidly fades into oblivion. Toyota as a brand (lately...) sucks almost as bad as Scion! (for car enthusiasts) But they would benefit the most from resurecting a car that is remotely fun.
Toyota vs. Scion

Thats the same as saying its Me vs. Myself
