Not trying to use this as an avenue for sales since I am not a vendor here, but obviously you guys found my product so I would like to extend the olive branch of support!

If you have any questions, need any technical support, or help finding a professional installer in your area please feel free to get a hold of me!

Thanks guys,

I will be installing mine today!
I liked that this was essentially plug n play but I'm not thrilled with the resulting angle of the camera.

I went through Camera Source (https://camera-source.com/subaru-leg...play-1609.html) this camera was an awesome plug and play and only had to tap 2 wires for 12V and ground. Otherwise it integrated flawlessly. My only gripe with the camera and i am wondering if anyone else is having this issue is that its too dim.
When in use and its dark outside it is DARK, sometimes it is borderline useless and i purchased an LED kit for the reverse lights and i ordered a tail as turn kit from diode dinamics to also free up 2 more reverse lights. Since i added 2 LED's so far its no different, but what i have noticed is that the light from the license plate light (which is still factory) is putting out enough to really tamper with the camera. I tested this by throwing a rag into the license plate light slot and i could actually see!! Anyone else having this problem? I drilled my hole just as everyone else, but the light from the license plate seems to be hurting this setup.

Is the camera aimed such that it takes in some of the license plate? Try angling it up so the view just takes in the edge of the bumper.

There are settings in the head unit menu to do with brightness.

Yea I am planning on doing it for the other side too. I am guessing you had to to drill a hole on the left? I am thinking whether I should go through that trouble or just swap the Keyhole side.

Yeah I drilled a hole on the left. It was pretty straight forward to be honest and doesn't require much more than knowing how to drill a hole. I didn't do it on the right due to the fact I wanted to keep the keyhole there and honestly, the keyhole isn't a perfect fit, the camera wobbled in there when I did a test fit and would probably need a sealant of some sort. Factory location for the win.

+1 factory location for backup camera. Most of the camera kits come with a drill bit and 1" adapter anyway. Drilling is a 2 minute job tops. You'll spend more time unbolting the rear trunk trim than getting the camera installed

Hopefully somebody can help me out but I installed the camera yesterday. Everything went well. Back up camera works and I was actually able to put it the angle I wanted but then I noticed when I was trying to use my radio. It wasn't working. There is completely no sound coming out of it. NONE. Not even the beeps when you select something. Can someone chime in if they know what I did wrong. Everything seemed like it was connected fine. I don't want this to be case where I can only have one thing working and not the other.

Are you sure you plugged the antenna back in?
