flex fuel ability with a 2.1 built block at the lowest possible pulley size for both fuel types ... would be pretty crazy.

I wish I had the sneaky tricks you've already got on your car - built engine and e85.
Most probably sneaky tricks regarding A-W intercooler means super cooling it with a sprayer of water or CO2, or they could be using two water pumps instead of one in the A-W system.

WTAC probably refers to the world time attack challenge, not the water to air intercooler.

"For what it's worth"... (maybe not much other than posting a picture of a track car that isn't street legal) here's a picture of the Chin Motorsports Lotus V6 Cup car at Sebring today. It comes with a Harrop supercharger. It's one of those things where you start doing some "car guy rationalization"... "if Lotus thinks Harrop is a good idea... surely my BRZ will benefit... in fact, maybe I'd be doing a disservice to my BRZ..." The potential candidate is next to it and is attempting to add boost via osmosis.

It's a mental issue. Some of you understand...

@HarropOz which ACE 4-1 header do you have on the car currently - the one with 48mm runners or 42.7mm?

Thanks.

Quick question, will Harrop provide the calibration file to any owner like Edelbrock does? In other words, if I already have an Ecutek cable/dongle/license will Harrop send me just the base calibration file? Or does part of the price of the "Complete kit" also have a baked-in cost of the tune itself beyond just the Ecutek hardware/license?

Just to reiterate, Edelbrock will send the CARB/base tune, free of charge, to any owner even if they buy the "tuner" kit without the Ecutek hardware. Does Harrop have the same policy?

At the moment there is no CANNED tune from Harrop for US fuels. You will need to hit up Moto-East or Delicious Tuning for a Harrop map/tune.

Interesting. So that implies the harrop costs an additional ~$350 for buyers in the USA, even if installed on an otherwise stock car.

I guess you have to factor in whether you'd be tempted to get a custom tune on the E-Force, which quite a few do it seems.

Yea the prices won't be the same. Harrop might be more premium in pricing regardless of comparison like Apple vs competitors. Plus their products have to travel from Australia.

Perhaps they might release their tune if they get CARB approved--perhaps not--depends how much they need to compete. CARB approval hasn't happened yet, so we won't know until later. Moto-East might be selling their own tune, but my guess is they are selling Harrop's "future CARB tune"--the tune that got Harrop emission approved in Australia. I could be wrong, and it could have been modified for California emission standards.

The prices don't really compare. An Edelbrock tuner kit is like $4600--$4100 after the rebate, and if you have the license and ECU teck, the cost with the tune is still $4100. Harrop is $6000 with a tune, and without is $5300 plus a tune, but even without that cost, it is still $1200 more. OUCH!

Edelbrock Tuner Kit-$4649 (-$500 for the rebate right now which is glorious) +$395 DT tune + $350 if you don't already have a license
Harrop Tuner Kit-$4825 + $395 DT tune and $350 if you don't already have a license.

The Edelbrock rebate is a crazy good deal, but without it, the two kits aren't that far off in price.

I had a similar thought after looking used Evoras. IIRC, the Evora S uses an Edlebrock supercharger. If it's good enough for Lotus, it's good enough for me.

So you guys are charging $4825...and Moto-East is charging $5300... for the same base kit (no tune or ECU Teck)? Just wanted to clarify things.
