Thanks again @tehShirt!
I can vouch for the quality of the piece. It works super well and is easy to “install” depending on the female piece you need to use. As far as sound quality, I haven’t attempted to record myself with the mic but I have had phone calls in the car since putting the mic in this adapter and there haven’t been any complaints of people not being able to hear me. I also use Siri a lot for Apple CarPlay and have yet to get an incorrect dictation or command (well, there’s always some degree of error but that’s regardless of using this adapter or not).

Full Throttle Modifications Throttle Pedal Spacer
Hey guys, I have seen some people asking about throttle pedal spacers and 3D printing them. I have started 3D printing spacers, and they are on sale on Import Image Racing as well for 49.99. If you are interested in purchasing, you can DM me at @Nopower_BRZ and I will hook you up with one for 29.99.

Been looking for something like this, figured it would be a cool part for someone to 3D print. What do you guys think?

By searching on Pinshape I found this Toyota 86 printable model: https://pinshape.com/items/54871-3d-...6-rocket-bunny hope it could help.
I take the chance to ask for an advice about 3D printing. I need some help choosing my first printer. Already had a look at technical guides (like this one) trying to understand the minimum requirements a printer should have to be considered "decent". However, when it comes to choosing a model or a brand I get confused. I'd like to buy a reliable printer capable of printing at a good resolution (50 microns?) without breaking the bank. My budget is around $500. I can also consider printer kits (as long as they are easy to assemble). Any recommendations? |

By 50 microns do you mean X/Y resolution or Z layer height. Either way you're getting no where close to that. Ideal scenario you're going to get about 4-5 thousandths of an inch accuracy X/Y/Z on most FDM printers, this is going to vary greatly depending on your settings and initial leveling procedures. The only way you're going to get consistent highly repeatable accuracy with minimal work is with full enclosures/heated beds tons of upgraded specs usually reserved for commercial printers. You're going to be hitting the 5k+ range for that. Hobby level printers are just that. Hobby level. Have fun with them and play around but don't expect too much from them. |

To me this looks like a simple piece of metal with a bend at the top and maybe one under it at the bottom with 3 holes for gauges. Far cheaper and faster to fabricate it from metal or even a sheet of plastic.

What I was looking for was more of a 3D printed piece that actually installed in place of the stock cubby or used a similar attachment method vs just a piece of metal that just kind of sat there

Please stop using PLA on your car. Especially near your brakes. I worry this is going to give you false confidence and you're going to replace a critical part and cause some serious harm.

This. PLA has a glass transition temp of 150F. Your brakes will do double that in normal daily use. ABS will go soft too at ~230F. Just because you can 3D print it doesn’t mean you should. |
