there is no way a salesperson could win an argument about selling a car they do not have in stock, know nothing about, cash on the table order, and marking it up past MSRP.

simple negotiating skills are needed. Car dealerships are vending machines, they offer us nothing.

No he's saying he has kids born before the early 80s.

Explains a lot of your posts now.

Almost all kids are born before their early 80's. I mean, isnt it common that they are born before one years of age?

Well, in the 1980's but not before the early 1980's. 1989 to be exact.

These are inexpensive cars so doubtful any mark ups will be much if at all.

This is why neckbeards are mandatory when purchasing a fedora. You would’ve been fine if you left your neckbeard on.

I remember stories of people paying up to 5k over msrp to be first when they came out years ago.
Have to wait and see.

Just wait for all the rabid ‘gotta be first’ people to get one. I think you’ll be able to get one for under MSRP by May.

Not sure how pre-orders are working out for people, could be a mixed bag depending on dealership.

This is what I'm hoping for. Really would like to get close to invoice if I wait till spring/summer.

I'd be fine with MSRP though if Covid is still messing with availability of new cars.
