They don't offer that. I'm trying to find some online lenders specifically for college students. Hopefully I can avoid dealing with G.D. dealership again. They kept us waiting for hours.

The beater I just bought had a shit ton of paper work still in it. From what I can gather Jodi (the previous owner) traded a 99 Jeep TJ for this 2003 SX 2.0 (Neon). She got just over $19xxx for the trade in, and put that towards the $24xxx purchase price of the Neon. After the borrowing costs of an additional $6xxx and what was still owing on the Jeep she owed over $33xxx. She agreed to pay 399.99 for 84 months. WTF!!

I know I'm not the best with money but that is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of.

I mean hey if she didn't have that great of a job those payments were probably all that was manageable...Interesting that she traded down to the neon.

On an note, the "Bar Rescue/Hotel Rescue/Dealership Rescue" shows are my new addiction...I love seeing how horrible some bars are lol

Personally I am very big for saving rather than borrowing.
1.interest sucks
2.less money for x amount of months that you will be able to save for other things.

There are a lot of things to factor when taking out loans...
But Man I wish cost of living was cheap here 1200$ for 1br makes me sad. I'd only be able to save a little if I moved out

I'm not saying the payment was low or insulting her funds, I'm saying she made a horrible financial decision for the situation she was in. I understand not beng able to make a high car payment, but why trade a perfectly working jeep (they ave her close to 20k for and it only had 60k kms on it) only to have to pay the residual on the jeep and for the neon. She ended up paying 33 thousand for a fucking Neon, a car that was only worth two thirds of that. If a lower payment was her goal she could have done other things.
