*gasp*

Take out belongs in the trunk. Don't want to smell up the cabin and also risk staining the Alcantara.

It's a good investment since a lot of hit and runs and scammers. I have one in each of my cars. Just a single channel tho.

That DR750S 2-ch looks promising, but will most likely be north of $400 given the 650S 2-ch is already $350.

How hard is wiring everything together? I was looking at getting the 450 with just the front channel.

I didn't hardwire either cams as I'm not using the parking mode (I put up the shades in front of the cams). But from what I've read, it shouldn't be too hard with a hardwire kit.

For the FR-S, I just routed the cable along the headliner, down the psg A-pillar, under the glove box, behind the glove box, and into the 12v outlet back there.

For the Yaris, I did the same, but instead went under the carpeting on the psg side towards the center console since that's where the only 12v outlet is at.

For descriptions and video quality samples.

Don't fall for their "sales." I got my Thinkware F50 from them because it was on sale. Since I was in the market for a second cam, I kept looking at their site and noticed that when they have "sales," they mark up their price and "discount" it back to the original price. I was pretty mad when I realized that.

I don't know if they changed their ways recently tho.

I got the Yaris' Viofo A119 from Adorama. It's a good cam, but I don't recommend it. I notice that if you have the key in accessory mode or on "on" for more than a minute, the cam turns on, doesn't auto record, and when you turn the engine on and drive off, it won't be recording until you hit record. If you turn on the engine a few seconds after on either ignition mode, it'll auto record.

I like the F50 in the FR-S. So far, no issues aside from having to guess the direction it's pointing when installing. The BV DR450 will probably have the same issue since it also does not have a screen.

I was reading all the posts about dashcams this morning and thinking about how I don't need one. Then about an hour later I almost got run into. To be fair to the other driver it's probably unreasonable to expect him to notice the bright orange car sitting next to him at a traffic light. It's also unreasonable to expect him to end his left turn in the left most lane just because he started in the left most lane. Clearly I should have swapped lanes with him in the middle of the intersection. Fortunately I trust no one so it ended up being nothing more than just a good test of my horn.

How very disappointing that must have been (re: the horn ... not not getting hit).

I've been having issues with my A119 as well. It'll show that it's recording but when i take a look at the memory card it's files I've formatted from days ago. It's not recording anything new.

Definitely time for a dash cam.

If you have time, preview it from in-camera.

It was from all the times I did a drive with everyone only to come home to non-existent footage.

I gotta remember to play the vids after I get to work and park.

What kind of memory card are you using? I'm using a SanDisk 32gig Extreme Pro iirc.
