Tons of double takes from drivers and pedestrians. Stares while it's parked and the occasional slow drive by to check it out.

Yup when people comes up to you in a parking lot it's kind of an uncomfortable experience. You tend to watch your car while walking away lol.

I actually had a great weekend with the car...I was at a family things and people saw my car for the first time and it was the first time I've had so many great compliments that didn't start with "how can you afford this?" LOL. Needless to say I drove home with a little smile and a big ego. |

A guy walked by me and said something like "I think that's the most innovative car to have come out in a long time". I replied "Thanks" and then I felt dumb because I had had nothing to do with it. :P

First week I had it I went through the drive-thru at Burger King and the nasty-looking older lady at the window said, "Is that thing fast, like Fast n Furious?" She was being serious, too. I almost gagged. I replied, "Um, no... not really."

Living in the land of SoCal where tuned cars run a dime a dozen, I keep getting rev ups by Integras and Civics wanting to race.

As I was leaving a parking lot, a guy in a Ferarri FF was entering the same drive. I thought it was another FRS briefly. I waved at him. He waved.
Then his head SNAPPED back! Classic double take. From certain angles, the cars look remarkably similar. Ferrari is literally 10 times as expensive. V-12, 650 HP, four wheel drive. It's utterly awesome that I got to even see one. I am not feeling jealous. |

I had a guy in an R8 Spyder chase me down from the drag to about 7th street in Austin, just to tell me how much he loved my car. I have done a fair amount of work on the car and it doesnt seem like many people down here have done much to their 86s yet.
Pretty interesting experience to say the least. |

First day i picked my black brz i drove it through the city, tons of looks! Had two young guys come and take pictures with their cell phones.
Later picked up a friend of mine and she loved it! Went for supper that night and was stopped by like 10 ppl outside the restaurant asking me questions. At gas stations i have alot of pump attendants asking questions and older guys asking too! Left it at my parents motel business for a week, it got so much attention i had to move it for safety concerns!

Drove by a group of about 12 or so young guys that seem to be Euro luxury cars parked together. Maybe some sort of mini-meet. At least 3/4 of them had their eyes locked on my car as I exited the parking lot. It was priceless.
