I got my window sticker the next day after it hit the port. I am keeping my phone changed for the dealer’s call.

It states I got Standard Option: 11. Does anyone know what option 11 is?

Congrats!

They've all said standard option 11 (for the limited IIRC). It's prob just the car in general.

Thanks, That makes sense, because I did not get any port-installed options.

Had to walk from the deal and leave the car behind, got absolutely shafted on my trade in, taking it to get appraised at multiple places tomorrow. Thankfully it's still reserved.

Props for staying cool-headed. If there's a CarMax nearby that should be a solid option in this market, though they will be particular about body panels that need paintwork.

Did you have a trade in value agreed upon when you ordered the new car and they backed out of it? Or did you not even discuss a trade initially?

Go carlsen subaru

Picked up mine today.
Dealer honored msrp agreement, also honored 500$ subaru loyalty certificate.

I know these things are normal in most dealers but in Bay Area I have been hearing horror stories.

Oh they also didn’t drill the front bumper!

They knew what I was trading in but I hadn't brought it to be appraised due to my schedule. They highest they went was 6k under the carmax and carvana estimates I got which felt like a slap in the face.

Sweet! I bought my 2017 from them. Got such a great deal that I made $1,000 when I sold it in September.

Get quotes from Givemethevin, Vroom, CarMax, Carvana and Autonation. Autonation has an option to sell your car on their page. CarMax and Autonation will give you cash on the spot. Vroom might be higher, but takes a while to get paid, Carvana takes a few days as they'll schedule a pickup and cut a check when they pick up the car I believe.

Autonation will match CarMax, but either will cut you a check on the spot. Autonation was much faster (used them twice) vs. CarMax.

I had a similar experience at my local dealer. They way under cut the price of my trade in. I drove to a dealer that was 30 minutes farther and they offered me 85% more on my trade in, so it is very dealer dependent. The second dealer’s offer was in line with what I was seeing using the online appraiser sites.

There is still a chance yours is there. If you had any port-installed options, then yours will take longer to leave the port. My car had no options added, but if it needs to go on a truck with a car that does have options then mine will be held up to.

I texted my dealer and they said mine should arrive at the dealer on the 18th, but I know it doesn’t take 10 days to get to Athens. We’ll see (fingers crossed).

Keep in mind that in Texas you only pay tax on the difference between your trade and your new car, so if if your trade was $30k, you could accept an offer $2k less than CarMax since you'd end up about even and it's less hassle to just give the trade to the dealer you're buying from.

If they're 6k below the others, just hand it over to CarMax or get a quote from Autonation and then ask them to match CarMax (they usually will) if it's lower.

I alluded to this in an earlier post, but will expand a bit since you're also in DFW. Autonation's online tool will route you to what I *think* is the nearest dealer, for me that was either Autonation Honda in Lewisville or BMW of Dallas. The brand of car appears to have no bearing (my BMW offer was routed to the Honda dealership). We also sold a car to CarMax in Irving ... even though we had an appointment they took 2.5 hours. No hassle, just lots of waiting. The two cars that went to Autonation took about 30-45min from walking through the front door to walking out with a check. In fact one of the Autonation reps let me send my license and paperwork over email so he could get it all ready, walked in, signed, walked out with money.

Not sure why Five-Star is playing games. They all use the latest wholesale auction data and know that if you don't give it to them you'll just give it to someone who offers you significantly more.
