That would be me, hah. I post as Dontpassthefence on most of the popular miata forums. :3

As for Tucson, that was one hell of an event. Definitely one of the most fun and efficient events I've ever been to in AZ. that track is very well suited to our cars. With OEM tires I was able to get 1:09.xxx which was satisfactory for me. New brake pads and tires are a must now though, heh.

Most of the photos I shot weren't great, but Brent has them all on his spiffy smart camera, so just keep prodding him until he gets those posted up, Lol.

I have a few on my phone I'll post as well tomorrow

I just saw this Supra Mk IV twin turbo on a car lot.

It's a POS basketcase.. They had it at $19k but now it won't start and now it's knocked down to 10k OBO.

Someone buy this!

My video is compiling, it'll be up soon. This is what I get for leaving the camera on for over an hour, it has to load all of it so I can delete most of it.

Thanks man, I really appreciate that. Definitely looking forward to taking that ProAutoSports class I got... I need to look into using it soon, expires in September...

One thing I had kind of thought about, but didn't expect to really present a problem was motion sickness. The first three rounds I could kind of feel it creeping up, but never enough to really bother me; but then when I went out again for those last 10 minutes, it took hold of me bad. I barely made it back to the pit in time to get some air. Hopefully that's something that will lessen with experience.

Photos:
Uploaded all the photos I took to Dropbox. Wish I'd taken more pics at night. The ones I got of the Z group that was there looked pretty decent (aside from the noise). Also wish I'd taken some from the bleachers in case I could get more of the actual track layout in them. Anyone with access to the club website can feel free to put these up there.

I think I like this one the best, just because the car is getting a little sideways on that last sharp turn before the straight. Was real easy to kick the tail out there.

I tried taking video of all my laps using the Track Recorder in the Torque app, but the app was set to allow it to turn the screen off while recording, which would happen about a minute into it, and would consequently stop the recording, so each one is only a minute long :'( My own fault for not reviewing them after each run...

Hit up the pavs for about an hour yesterday around 5:30. It was warm. Bug eyed was there then we had to take off to finish errands.

On the way there we were cruising faster than traffic keeping up with a miata. Switching lanes and switching who was in front. Before he split off the freeway gave him the peace sign. He did also. Cool little car.

As usual I took zero pictures last night and no video despite bringing both cameras. I'm the worst person ever for taking pictures of stuff. However it was a great time yesterday and everyone made it out of my car before getting sick!!! The fr-s is still puke free unlike the corvette that got puked in all the time. I learned the hard way their is more than one reason drag racers don't take passengers when I had the vette

My vette (not built by me) was a 9 second car I bought as an investment because the race shop I got it from was being sued and going out of business. going from almost 200mph to when I pulled the chutes is to much for people's stomach. I got the car for $50k and I sold it less then a year later for $108k.

Yep the day of the auction Detroit saw 18in of snow so only about half the people expected showed up and it was one of the last cars of the day and at the deals everyone was getting most everyone else already cleared their held account at the auction office by buying more cars then they expected to win. I didn't plan on actually winning it but thought it was worth a shot and it paid off.

Mk IV Supras are literal works of art. It's criminal that this poor thing is rotting away on some used car lot

edit: nevermind, it's an AT.
