Anyone know what was going on at Joe Gibbs Racing this past week? Went by and there were a bunch of 86's there?

Sonoma, Laguna Seca, PCH, rocky mountains...and you are not taking the car? Too bad I don't need any of those parts

I'd love to take the car, but parking is a premium, and so is the insurance. I'd rather just not deal with it at this point.

I'll take the rear diff bushings. Did you notice any difference with them?

I'm curious about that intake and exhaust. How much did they cost you originally? Did you do the install yourself, or have a shop do it for you? What kind of performance and fuel economy changes did you see?

Yes I noticed a difference with them. It resulted in a more positive, confident shift. The side effect is that they increase the NVH in the cabin, but I like it #becauseracecar. They're still on the car and will be coming off when I pull the exhaust off. I'll keep you posted on the status.

Intake I paid full price for from FT86speedfactory. Install was easy.

The exhaust was installed by my buddy at Eurowise, so it went very easy for those guys since they have all of the correct tools.

I got less torque gap, and more low end drivability with some top end. Maybe that's just my butt dyno. The biggest difference came with the reflash from the OFT, which resulted gains everywhere. I never had it quantified though. I still got great gas mileage with both mods. I do maybe 28 MPG mostly highway.

Intake & exhaust mods usually don't hurt fuel economy by themselves (if anything, they usually improve it), since they let the engine breathe more easily (it doesn't have to spend as much power sucking the air in or pushing the exhaust out). The only reduction in fuel economy typically comes from other mods or a heavy foot. :P

Had the opportunity to drive the Dragon for the first time last week finally! There was hardly anyone there and I basically had the road to myself! It was sunny on the way up and was pouring rain on the way down. Equally as fun in my opinion. Here is a quick video of coming back down in the rain.
