I'm not sure either. My uncle was deathly sick and we all thought we'd lose him, but he recovered. And then the next week, our family friend got it.

Of course you can, except you stand a lower chance of being infected to begin with.

Are they allowing vaccinated people to just go maskless everywhere? I thought it was just sit down restaurants anywhere that has any mandates. And even then, following protocol.

Sounds like you, as an unvaccinated person (or bullshitter), are complaining that you might not have the same freedoms as vaccinated people. Most provinces of Canada have vaccination passport requirements now, so there will be plenty of people bitching. Waving signs and harassing people in front of hospitals and grade schools too.

Yes, unvaccinated people being more easily infected are more likely in turn to pass that infection to others, making their presence higher risk to everyone else.

When they invent a vaccine that provides 100% prophylaxis that won't be necessary. Until that time someone has to make a sacrifice. In the name of society and the economy, let it be the small minority of those who are unwilling to take vaccinations to stop the pandemic.

We figure that hospitals and everything else will be ok if 90% are vaxxed. So there is room to accommodate people like you but don't expect unvaccinated to be the first to have all their privileges restored.

You can't possibly quarantine everyone who may have been around an infected person(s). Its impossible. Contact tracing is a joke too.

Unfortunately, no vaccine is 100% so that isn't going to happen. Even the polio vaccine, which was very effective, was listed at 99%.

I think the surge here is peaking. Even when the numbers were going down the last time some local news outlets were switching the numbers around to bait views. 5954 cases became 9554 cases. Yesterday the New York times numbers were over 50k cases for the day. It was actually 16 thousand. A lot of shady reporting going on. Florida is a sunny place for shady people though.
