It's kinda funny, all my family is Toyota & Nissan family. I'm the only one in the family that owns Subaru lol
I'm the same way,. my family has a history of owning Toyota and there was at least a Levin and a trueno AE86 in our family. Which switched to Honda in the 90s . I'm the only one with a Subaru, and it's technically my work car but I love it. My dad seems to have some vendetta against Subaru's AWD, he always complained how he loves the Impreza but hates how much it cost in gas and maintenance. I tihnk he likes the Toyota more anyways. but I'm In the same boat as you, I like them both and being the person that always brought BRZ info and the BRZERHOOD feels weird for me to have the Toyota.

So I'm stuck on what to do too.... I think you has a BRZ in your future Ichi.

Would I better off keeping the stockers on when summer comes around? Probably. Will I? No, they're too skinny for my new wheels and I just love endless GRIP.
Well... screw you! LMAO jk

On serious note, I have nothing against that (to certain point)... but you know those owner that before they even hit 100miles on odo, they're putting coils, bigger tires, intake, pulley, exhaust and all the mods. Which, I'm sure Tada-san is happy... but I'm like, do you even know that pros & cons it made on the car, even less can tell the difference?

If it was like Moto-san who's been king of SCCA AutoX and guy who taught Ken Gushi how to drift is swapping to coils & tires on his car before 6 months, yeah I get it... but c'mon now! There aren't a lot of owner here have those skills under the belt.

I was going to keep the car mainly stock when I first got it. That was until I felt the stock control arm bushings moving around and the front end bouncing off the bump stops. I was also disappointed in the amount of feedback,
especially from the rear end. Now I have almost every bushing whiteline sells, a few select TIC bushings and a set of RCE yellow springs waiting to go in when I get the car out of storage.

BUT... I do agree that nothing on this car should be touched until the owner has cause to. With the one exception being a tune. That should be mandatory.

I just don't have the patience to leave a car stock and drive it like that for a year or longer.

I was testdriving the gt86 for about 10mins and i already was thinking about what mods i could do it. Car didn't feel right...'coilovers will fix that'..., wheels are fugly...'Work wheels will look nice on this'... interior trim looks bland... 'a little bit of cf will fix that'

Life has come to the point where someone asks me where i'm from (I travel to Ohio a lot and my New York accent is a bit noticeable) that i just wanna say i'm from the internet.

It wheres i grew up, its where i do most my school work, its where i spend half of my free time. Most of us never sat down and realize how god damn difficult it is to see the current day world without the internet.

I would like to believe there is more positives that came out of the internet then negatives and i think there is.

They need a performance edition here in the USA so I can Just buy that and not mess with anything, cause I would too fall the mod bug as much as I want to keep stock. I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for something numbered good looking and straight from the factory. I'm a purist and that's a purist dream right there. Then again maybe it's not a good idea after all lol

Limited run so I can sell it years from now with no depreciation!

@ichitaka05 I agree. There's a lot of things I see being done within a few moments of ownership that if I ever did, wouldn't be done for years. Modifying is as much about the end product as it is the process. What is there in doing a large majority of mods in a short time like that? You'll just get bored with the car THAT much faster. The way I see it, I'll have half a year of ownership before I've even done anything other than an axle back. Got plenty of mods ready to go....but I'll put them on when I get bored.
