Anybody else on here running a radium catch can? And is a second catch can really needed for the outlet connecting back to the front intake for this turbo kit?

I did the same thing as some others, STI brembos, rotors, pads and SS lines. however I only upgraded the front brakes, the rear got SS lines and that is it.

I just recieved the 3" turbo to catback exhaust bits from AVO today.

I'm very pleased with the build quality. Nice clean welds!

Well.. My avo stage1 kit has performed 100% well for the past 10k miles. It's up for sale now as I got sponsored for a top mount kit. I decided to build my car for show and top mount looks better.

Here's the for sale thread.

I spent less than $1K, went with Stop Techs SS lines, slotted rotors and pads (all 4 wheels), and replaced the fluid with some good stuff. Car stops much better without the cost of a BBK.

I'm running the dual radium catch cans... and the AVO air/oil separator off the oil reservoir.

As to what's needed... it's debateable and comes down to personal prefernce. I chose both as I get a hell of a lot of blow by. I was filling up the massive AVO front mount catch can about every three months.

Third AVO turbo?!?

For those that haven't seen it yet, it appears AVO is testing a third turbo for our car on their Japanese vehicle. No word on power figures etc yet but it's larger than the stage 3 billet option and my japanese is rusty but something about forged compressor housing?

I think that's overkill in my opinion. I doubt much, if anything, comes out of that oil reservoir breather. I'm pretty sure it's just to balance pressure inside the crank case with that overflow tank. The scavenging pump would be sucking all of the oil up out of there before it went through the vent hose.

I'm running a custom setup from Saikou Michi. I had the PCV side isolated on it's own tank, then had a second tank made up with two inlets (one for the crank breather and the other for the turbo reservoir vent). I also got some custom vent hard lines to run to the tanks to clean everything up. Works perfectly.

Will it be ok to just run a single radium catch can and to have the oil reservoir just vented to the atmosphere?

Did anyone have to make changes to the plastic bumper bit after installing? I can't seem to get my bumper back on after installing. I am assuming that is what is blocking it. I cut a strip off from it but no joy, I think it has pushed it down too far.

Cheers.

I had to do some modifications to the black piece that goes under the the intercooler. I trimmed down the area with the grid. I probably wouldn't do that again. I'd be more likely to play with the intercooler and crash beam first.

Subscribed, but hard to believe half the shit I hear. My AVO setup is working flawlessly! No complaints! No turbo failures! No overheating! No boost leaks! no issues whatsoever!

Everyone should get one of these kits. It's as if they're OEM! And the car responds accordingly!

I am happy as a pig in shit!
