Thanks for the post.

Our calibration is built without the AEM module as it becomes redundant with the Unichip installed.

Cheers

Were the FA20club CAI tunes removed due to a license issue?

2014 FR-S, CEL

Have been driving with Unichip on position 1 for one tank full of gas and was pleased. Refueled, selected position 0 and at about 1/2 tank down got a CEL and stability light on constant. Turned off vehicle and selected position 1. CEL remained on Stability light off. Codes were P0172, P1170 ,P117B.

Anybody got an idea about this?

Hi.

What mods have you made to your car? What type of gas are you running and from where did you purchase it?

What tunes are you also running?

I believe I can provide you the answer. Been running Unichip strong for quite some time time and probably the most experienced person with a BRZ/FR-S in the Mid-West. If I can't help, I'm sure Jack can.

Greddy CAI, Motive Hi-Flow Cat, Perrin Resonated exhaust- all this was provided for the pre-installed maps.
Shell 91 Octane, 10% ethanol
Running maps shipped with the Unichip- no changes as yet- still testing.

So which maps were installed from UNICHIP? In otherwords, which is in position 0 and which is in position 1?

I'm curious if you are running Greddy CAI with Fuel Standard and Timing Standard in 0.

And in 1, maybe Fuel Out and Timing In or Fuel In and Timing Out or Both Out or Both In?

Also, the gas you have - do you have Winter Gas or Fall Gas. Do you even know? And is it Shell brand or which brand?

All the above makes a HUGE difference.

I've run about 40 tunes with tons of different gas combinations here in Chicagoland.

You might want to plug your laptop in and flash Greddy CAI with Fuel Standard and Timing Standard in 0. And in position one, Stock+ Fuel Standard, Timing Standard. This will help gauge the extremes of what is going on.

You might want to pick up a Flux2 as well to monitor your intake temperature, your RPMs as well as your Engine Temperature.

This also alows you to reset your CELS.

I'll try to help, but need more info - especially state and temperature the last few days.

I have not gotten a cable to change the maps as yet. I live in Daytona Beach FL so there is no fuel grade switching that I am aware of- temp has been around 80F.
I guess my first step is to get a cable...

Okay. Being in Florida eliminates A LOT of the variables. Do this then. Get all your gas out of the tank. It sounds like it could be bad gas. It happens. Go to shell and get 91/93. Yeah, spend the extra money. It makes a HUGE difference IMO especially with the Unichip. Once you get new gas, clear the CELS - stop at autozone, they'll do it for free. Drive around, and see. Still have problems. Remap 0 and 1. It's really easy to do so, and will help. I didn't see what mods you've done either.

First installer here.
Does anybody have any trick as to how to remove that bloody CPS plug... It's jammed in the connector very tight. My fat hands are not winning this one...

Yeah it's a slight hangup. I think I used a long screwdriver to press on the clip

Ugh... I was pushing the wrong end of the tab. No wonder that thing would not move!
Ok... so I plugged everything, tried to start the car and... it didn't. It's cranking up fine but the engine never kicks in.
Verified the connections, all seemed good.

I put it back to stock and it started fine but now I have a CEL with the following 2 codes:
P0103 (Mass or Volume Air Flow Sensor "A" Circuit High)
P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit)

Any idea?
