I just picked up my BRZ on Friday and am loving it. I live in the Chicagoland area and can't wait to get involved with the crew!

Another new owner in the Chicago area. Picked up my black Limited on Saturday (they commented it was odd, they never sell the BRZ and had just sold one the day before...) Not really sure how far I'll go with this car, or just enjoy driving as it came. Used to race STS, was the walking service-manual for my ACR and put years into that community but the interest waned for a few reasons... either way, it's fun, and my wife will let me drive us places sometimes in this car! That has me thinking I may want to be careful with the suspension...
Looks like a good crew here. C |

I'm new, living in El Paso. Don't own a BRZ/FR-S yet. Got to test drive a FR-S and loved it. Just browsing around, hoping to learn as much as I can About the cars and their reliability. Also looking at trust worthy dealerships. Hoping to buy one this summer after I send in my tuition for school.

Hey all, picked up my 2014 WRB Limited 6MT a few weeks ago after following the car all the way from concept to production. Incredibly excited to join the community and start making my BRZ truly mine!

Hello everyone, been lurking ft86 for a long while now but recently decided to start an account and say hello. I've been on the prowl for a new car since late last year, and narrowed the choices down to the 2014 BRZ/FRS, 2014 WRX, and v6 Accord Coupe, all M/T.
I'm sure that at this point you guys are thinking "why the hell is an Accord on this guy's list?!" Short answer, circumstances and relative practicality. While the BRZ car keys were just inches within my grasp, Honda offered me a deal that I couldn't refuse, and alas my daily is now an Accord. However, I am hoping that in a few years I will find myself in a BRZ or FRS for a weekend/track car, as the handling and fun factor is amazing for a <$30k coupe, on Prius tires no less. So I'm here to learn and converse with current owners so that I can make an informed decision when it's time to buy one of the twins!

Been lurking on the forums for awhile now. If all goes as planned this time next week I will be out of my 2006 Focus ST and in my new 2014 SWP BRZ Limited.
Already have a huge list of mods I want. Just need to decide on what to start with...

Hi Guys!
Just wanted to drop in and say HI. Been lurking for a while now, since I got my BRZ. I figured it was time to introduce myself. I just recently bought my 2014 SWP, and am LOVING IT every single day. I have worked for SIA, Subaru of Indiana Automotive, for over 4 years now. Thankfully enough, they have a wonderful 'employee discount program' which allowed me to get the Limited Package for a VERY GOOD DEAL.A little story of day one, for those who are interested. My wife (also works at SIA) and I own a 2012 Legacy, and recently took it to the dealership for regular maintenance. Well, while waiting, a BEAUTIFUL pearl white Limited BRZ sitting right up front by the building, caught my eye. As I was checking it out, and doing my best not to drool over it, a salesmen approaches. OF COURSE. ''Here's the keys'' he said, "take her for a spin.'' So I indulge. I shouldn't have, as we weren't even in the market for another vehicle. Anyway, the moment I sat down, I KNEW this was the car for me. I drove it around town for a little while, as my wife and I discussed the situation. She loves it, sees that I love it, and told me right away to just go for it. Long story short, we go back to the dealer and begin paper work. The rest is history.. Anyway, been doing a few little things to her, to help spruce it up. Installed the Perrin 3'' intake tube, and high flow panel filter, until I can decide on FI or not. Also I have done a full LED conversion to all the bulbs. IMO, this is a MUST DO upgrade. It makes the appearance at night much cleaner, and newer looking, inside and out. Just really makes it feel like a new vehicle should. I am not a fan of the sickly yellow incandescent bulbs. Before I read of all the horror stories, I ordered a Flossy knob. Yeah, good thing I payed with PP. I will give him a couple weeks, and just file a claim if I don't hear from him, already sent him 2 emails, and nothing Here is a pic of my SWP, just like every other SWP, but this one is MINE. ![]()

I work for a large dealer group and drive all kinds of cars. None of them really leave too much of an impression.
Not thinking too much on it, I took a pre-owned BRZ limited out for lunch one day and it felt like it had always been my trusty car. In a strange twist of fate I went from a motorcycle nut to selling a bike to afford the BRZ. I bought a brand new WRB Premium from our Subaru store the very next day and couldn't be happier! |
