This car will attract a lot of attention and Toyobaru will want to juice the hype by later releasing other varients of the car.. Its the only smart thing to do, and doesn't have any negative side to doing so.
For the record, and not trying to sound condescending, I didn't say everyone but instead used the word "most".......as for the "post count", I've been reading for over a year vice posting because I haven't felt the need to chime in on all of the "unknowns" surrounding the FR-S/BRZ, but I do understand what you meant by people who are complaining having "minimal post". With that said, have a good one and thanks for not reading into my post.

I read into your post as I guess you didn't notice. My response was the first part:

"Its good you express your opinions and stuff.. But you can't generalize everone as one. Especially when 95% of the ones complaining are all under 150 or even 100 posts."

the rest had nothing to do with your comment. Thus, the spacing in between them.

I agreed with you because you get the car unlike most people complaining. Although, Scion did say that the FRS was going to be "affordable", even though most might end up paying $300-$400 /month

I for one thought your post was great. So many folks on this forum like to pick out things you post and call you out on them. Not sure if it's the age group or just the whole internet-ego thing but it gets really tiring after awhile. The way people act you'd think everyone would need a PR person to re-write their posts all the time because even the slightest thing will get whinebags complaining or calling you a jerk. (some guy will probably be like "I never called him a jerk bla bla")

I've been on so many forums over the years and I've never had this problem like I do here. Hopefully as the car is released and more members flow in it will be diluted. I wish for once people would just take the gist of the post into consideration instead of picking out little parts and making it an off-topic discussion.

Im not sure if your reffering to me or not lol

If you are, I agreed with his post. In other words all I said was, you should not say all of us as "one" because some of us understand what the car was meant for. Those who don't understand, usually have a low post count.. Thats all jeez lol

I've been on auto-forums since 1998 and have been a web-administer on most of them so I'm use to the internet bashing that people post. With that said, I try to be clear and objective when I do post to avoid the internet bashing that simply drains everyone's time and energy.

Now to get back on topic I'm extremely happy that the pricing has OFFICIALLY been released as it will reduce a lot of redundant postings on the forum.

Not really, I just though him saying "most" was an accurate descriptor and didn't warrant a post about him being unreasonable about the demographic.

He never said we are all that way, he said most. From what I've seen most of the people who complain about the price seem to be younger and honestly they probably couldn't afford the car from the start. I too agree that 25k is a bargain and that's what Toyota has been saying all along. There are always exceptions but this guy seems reasonable and didn't make a black/white generalization.

I just wish people would spend their time posting constructive things instead of just picking apart other's posts, that's all. I've been here only a month and I can't even count how many times I've had people call me out for saying "most" or putting my opinions out there.

I wasn't calling you out specifically, but I don't think he needed to explain himself because he was being completely reasonable, so I responded to him with that, is all.

It is about time haha, I feel like they had us by the balls for way too long. I'm not too upset about people being like "OMG TOO MUCH" because that will make it easier for me to get one hopefully. Honestly if you can't understand why this car is a performance bargain you should go buy something else, but good luck finding something with the same formula in the same price range.

LOANS caused the stock market collapse, not inflation. It had zero to do with inflation except some inflation penalty by printing money to cover the bad loans (bank bailout). Although as I already said this inflation penalty hasn't really shown up in any data - inflation has been constant the last few years as well.

Learn the history before you make outrageous assertions.
Sorry, I did misread it but I still don't think it's been constant; not in recent years anyway. And the bad loans were given out as a result of the easy credit/extra money from the Federal Reserve. And in the case of the housing market, the government forced banks to give out bad loans. It all has to do with inflation one way or another. Anyway, I don't want to derail the thread...

Not worth getting nitpicky about that little money when she's willing to let her MINI go in a couple years for me to get an FR-S. And she loves her MINI. If that package makes her happy with the v, so be it. Being able to sacrifice a thing or two for one another builds trust and happiness in a relationship. When it comes time to buy the FR-S, I'm the more likely to talk myself out of it saying that I don't need a $25k toy when I have a perfectly good 4Runner and she'll probably say, "Honey, just get the car. You'll enjoy it." She's done it several times already.

Damn...well, I'm caving on the no moonroof part already, depending on the post-drives, I may change my mind about fat too.

To be honest I've been pretty pissed ever since Honda ruined the Civic('01 and up).
