It's a brand new 7700k. I got it for $190 instead of the $340 plus tax it is on Newegg. Kinda hard to argue with that.

Went to Wekfest SJ today and took some pics.

Many many of these cars: twins, s2k's, nsx's, 3x0z's, civics, lancer evos, several GTRs, etc.

Some are very interesting to look at, some are ridiculous to look at.

Here's a link to the imgur album, but be warned that the ordering got messed up during uploading and I'm too tired to re-order 100+ photos right now

http://imgur.com/a/JbwXf

Sorry for potato quality and mis-ordering. Let me know if you're curious about any and I'll try to figure out what's what.

I wouldn't knock it until you try it. Probably one of the best times I've had was spectating at a Nascar event in Sonoma. I just love their "open" format where spectators are free to wander around look at all the cars and the team garages and watch them work. No fenced off "exclusive" areas. That's usually an "upgrade" paddock ticket for other race series. On the other hand, be prepared to be the only asian person there

Ooooh, details please! I've been thinking about doing another mini ITX gaming build and retire my current one to the living room as a HTPC.

No problem!

Yeah, there were some weird aesthetic mods going on there. Like that silver hood I had a picture of. It had vents that you could probably fit an average size apple through. Not sure how driving in the rain works with that...

I didn't like how Wekfest was organized. They didn't say on the website or anywhere that you had to pay in cash, so I waited 1.5 hours in line only to find out about 20 spots from the front that it was cash only. So I had to go wait in the ATM line, and then ask if I could cut so I could get cash and not lose my spot (held by some random guys I didn't know or trust).

Plus it seemed like they just kept letting people into the event center space rather than trying to keep a limit on the number of people inside, so it got way too crowded by the time I decided to leave. :|

I think I like the Shukai festival in San Jose more.. Hope they do it again this year.

haha. I used to love Nascar as a kid. I'd watch every race that I could. I've never spectated before tho. The same with F1 and Indy. For some reason, I got bored with them.

It's the smallest nm process thus far, if that's what you mean.

Ya, as much as I like cars, nowadays, I just can't stand going to these kinds of events anymore. Every once in a while I would go to a C&C, but even then, most of the time it's just rich guys and their exotics. I'll just stick to going on drives and scroll through pics you young enthusiastic guys post

Ya, I find it harder and harder to spectate in motorsports. Last time I did was for the Mendocino rally and that was more like hiking/camping and having a very fast car zoom past you every 2 mins lol. It was kinda nice since my buddies and I just hung out, drank a few beers and shot the sh*t the whole day.

Nowadays, coverage has gotten so much better that I can just have it streaming and playing in the background while I'm doing stuff around the house. TBH, I can't sit there and watch F1 anymore, been following WRC casually but been enjoying watching GRC, FIA RX and random spec races

I don't have any reason to go small for this build, other than the fact that I've never built a mini ITX rig and I thought it would be fun.

Not sure what details you want specifically, but here is a parts list with Newegg links:

Case: Corsair Obsidian 250D
Motherboard: MSI Z270I Gaming Pro Carbon
CPU: I7-7700k
RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 2x8gb DDR4 3200 14-14-14-34
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW2 (Paid $460 from B&H Photo - prices for these are going through the roof thanks to cryptocurrency miners)
SSD: Samsung 960 EVO m.2 500gb
Power supply: EVGA 750 P2
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 AIO

I like GRC, really should try to catch up on it. Last year I kept up on the rounds via YouTube. I like watching racing where the drivers don't get penalized for bumping or rubbing, and where position changes occur frequently. That's more exciting to me. So I've been watching different Australian series.
