Not trying to stomp your dreams or anything but there isn't a perfect man on this planet. Everyone has flaws, it takes time to find all those flaws that people hide. It's natural, it's what we're taught to do.

The best example I can think of is my dad. Friendliest guy I know, will flirt with anybody, has no problem working with people, and rarely gets angry. But I've known him for almost 25 years and even now I still find out important stuff about his past or his character that I never knew and I doubt 99% of his friends know. My mom has known him for longer than I and she is still finding out stuff about him.

Yes, this was just an excuse to talk about my dad.

mmm.. Kinda weird--thing is that most younger Japanese males would go for older Japanese women. I wonder if she's interested in a specific type.

To be honest, in this case I think you should drop her a big hint. For example, at dinner/lunch you could start saying something along the lines of... I really like how we have great conversations like this.. etc then go into what is really good right now (such as the ease of the conversations, the entertaining part of the conversation).

Then slowly just make it obvious that you like her. For some random reason women like to be woo'd. In a slow non-creepy way. This is to prevent you from being friendzoned. I've done it and many others I know have done it because the guy was so awkward.


I'm also not sure if this lady you're with was born in the US/lived here long or is from JP and relatively recently came over.
