Speaking of sound, does anyone else hear to sound on their engine firing. Probably a bad description of engine noise through the header, thinner walls, no heat shield = more?

Thought I posted on this thread as well.

Setup is in the youtube description.

It is very quiet at idle and decently, but not obnoxiously loud at WOT.

Does the CSG BRZ prototype currently have any resonators in the front pipe?

ACE had a video of the new muffler doing a dyno run on their Facebook page last night. Looking forward to it's release. I'm definitely gonna pre order once available.

If ACE would develop a street-friendly catted full exhaust with no drone and no rasp and smell that would be something... Even with some sacrifice on power, just DD friendly. So hard to combine parts with so little certainty.

I would probably consider replacing my Corsa if I could have a full header-back from the same company if it was a good DD sound without being obnoxious.

If we're talking about what we'd want from an exhaust I'll add my $.02. I want to keep a cat. I have some ethical responsibility to the environment. I also want as quiet as possible for a 2.5 inch system. I was intending to pick up a JDL ultra quiet front pipe (and still might) to pair with the ACE axle back. But if ACE was willing to add a cat to their front pipe and the axle back isn't nucking futs expensive, I'd strongly consider that. By all accounts JDL's fit and fitment has been spot on, but I'm the type to stick with the devil I know. And my ACE headers fitment was perfect.

ACE's philosophy is absolute performance so please do not expect a HFC in the front pipe. We can, however, supply you with a HFC if interested.

Glad you got the ACE header bolted up properly.

Side note, the CSG BRZ sounds incredibly good right now...both of them.

I'm running the JDL Ultra quiet and a Perrin 2.5" resonated exhaust with an A/350. Gotta keep the cat for STX rules.

Just about right in terms of sound/loudness for me. I wouldn't want it any louder or quieter.

Catless puts the car in another class? There's guys in CS that's killing me when I'm in STX as it is, I can't afford to move to an even faster class. Lol.

Yup. Gotta have at least one cat within 6" downstream of the last factory location

You need more seat time. Not more mods.
