No! You were just supposed to plasti-dip something and maybe take off some badges. GTFO

Lol, but the car was at 1,000 miles, so it wasn't being broken in!

Seriously though, cruise control is fine to use during break in so long as you aren't dumb about it. They don't want you driving off the lot and then taking a 300 mile road trip on cruise control in 6th gear at 70 MPH because that does NOT result in varied RPMs. However, for a few minutes at a time on a few key roads, it isn't going to harm anything.

this is what I used, thanks for posting.

It looks really clean. I'm happy.
Did you install it yourself? I've been considering a pre-cut kit.

I went to a pretty reputable tint shop here in NYC. They did a great job and they take care of the cars. I've seen cop cars, Porsche, Lambos and the like come in here and they are handled really well.

Could you maybe drop a part of the name of the shop that you went to?

I'm kind of on the fence with tinting in NY because some people seem to have so much trouble with them (from the cops) and some people have straight up limo tint and seem to be just fine.. or very lucky

Sure, not a problem. The name of the shop is The Tint Shop. They were located in Long Island, but they moved to a bigger shop here in Flushing.

They are very very good at what they do. I highly recommend them. When you go in, just say you were referred by Maverick. I don't get anything out of you mentioning my name, it's just cool to spread the word around to get them more recognition.

Let me know if you need anything else!

I failed on the lamin x yellow fog light install. The cover was twice as big as my fog light. And couldn't get it to fit properly.

Did you get the correct covers? And do you mean literally twice the size, or just a little bigger? I just did these myself and I can help you out

Apparently, you're supposed to wet it and use a heat gun to help it shrink to fit? I dunno, I failed too and just got the Nokya bulbs instead.

Some of those vinyl overlays are meant to be trimmed to fit. However, I had bought some Rockblockers (same deal as Lamin-x) for my WRX and was bummed that they were slightly undercut.

You don't even need a heat gun, a hair dryer will work as well. It's just to get the stuff pliable so you can form it tightly against the glass/plastic/whatever.

I recommend shooting it and the surface with some soapy water (dish soap), lay it on then smooth out the bubbles and let it dry. If you don't have a squeegee/spreader, you can wrap a credit card in a rag.

Fog lights are relatively easy. Our taillights are a nightmare to wrap cleanly! If you have issues with the product, give @Bluebatmobile a holler and he can get you some new overlays that are cut correctly. He made the BRZ template off of my car.
