Anyway, is this were everyone meets up here in AZ?
We do have get togethers quite often actually. We had a huge BBQ at my place. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370295945.868652.jpg

Oops, I guess at night I thought it was black.

Guess I was just a bit late. There was a lot of cool cars there so at least it wasn't a wasted trip.

Sounds great, I'll have to watch out for that. :happy0180:

Does everyone usually park together at the Pavs or what? I noticed all the tC people together and was kinda sad for us. The BBQ pics helped tho. lol

I'm looking into setting up an FRS/BRZ track day at the Cart track down here (the one Brent and I drove around last weekend). The idea is to basically rent the track out and have nothing but FRS/BRZs on the track. I think this would be a great introduction to full blown track days (full size courses) without the often ridiculous expense and in a relatively low stress environment. I'd like to gauge interest while I await an email from the owner of the track about details.

You know you can count me in! Running that track is a fantastic experience, I really can't wait to go back. It's not straight-line fast, but there are quite a few "fast" corners on it, perfect for our cars. It's also a great learning experience, since maximizing speed at that track requires a lot of late apexing, a hard line to drive sometimes. And the "esses" sections are great at teaching how to navigate compromise corners.

It also felt quite safe, the lack of any width change meant that I never felt like the track design dumped me into a spot where I was in danger of running off the pavement.

I couldn't have explained the track better myself. It really is perfect for our cars. The lack of shifting also makes the whole experience less frantic, more time spent concentrating on braking and choosing the right line.
