I thought they were offering both as they had tested a bunch in this thread earlier on. Both UEL and EL.

Nah, there's a post by Jason stating that it's just simply for sound and they're shooting for purely performance. If there was a high enough demand though, he said they would consider it. I personally know there is a demand for UEL, but not everyone is convinced from a performanc standpoint.

Nameless costs money. Borla doesn't. Even if there's a good UEL, most people will opt for the cheapo option.

There is a demand as I want one and everyone that mentions headers says they want UEL if it gives similar performance as EL. I want sport catted UEL but if Nameless isn't willing to make one and they treat me well when I go up there to get the exhaust on then I'll buy their EL catted and forget the UEL. Customer service works wonders with loyalty and referrals.

Not to sound like a douche or anything, but dont you only have to get smogged once a year and it only takes a couple hours? Would it not work to swap exhaust puarts out the day before and swap them back in once passed smog? The exhaust components for this car are really quick and easy to swap out...just saying

Plenty of people do that. I went for the catted pipe so that I could get rid of the cat in the header. Techs still see a cat...how the hell do they know what else to look for?

In any case I don't even get smogged; only a couple states including California do that.

Is there any chance of the header fitting with the Nameless downpipe that doesn't have the overpipe?

How about this clause?

(D) The vehicle has a legitimate need for replacement of the existing converter that has been established and documented by the installer on the repair invoice. If the OEM converter is present, the installer must make a determination that it is not functioning properly before acting to replace it;

Newp. See: Installers may not install a new aftermarket catalytic converter in a vehicle unless all of the following conditions are met:

If you take that literally then even a warranty replacement by the dealer would be invalid until 7years/70,000miles in California. They are an installer at that point and bound by the terms.
I'm sure they don't mean that but it's what it says.
