Wonder what this place will end up like when your car falls apart and you leave us. I know this place goes in cycles but damn that'll be a lot of posts missing haha.
In 2 years, 3 months and 14 days I will have a new car. What that will be remains to be seen.

That seems awfully precise. Why?

That is when this one is paid for. I just keep each car until it is paid for since they have between 250 and 300k on them by that point. Now technically it will be "paid" for from my perspective after I have had it only 2 years since I make about $16k a year in mileage (above and beyond my salary and non taxable). By just contiueing the payments for the life of the loan (1.2%) I get to use that cash and maintain a top level credit rating. No idea how it all works but my wife is an accountant and whatever she does actually makes us money by carrying the loan to term instead of paying off early. I have no clue how it works.

It works by limiting how many new cars you can buy .........

Been totally happy with each one except the last Lancer. Traded out of that one in just two years and if it wasn't for the mileage paying for it I would have taken a shit kicking on that deal. I guess actually I did since it pulled some cash out of the coffer but it was worth every cent to be done with the piece of crap I screwed up and bought.

Well since Scion is gone they are ruled out and I will never, ever buy a BMW they are safe. Need to see what reasonably priced yet still fun cars care out at that time. Who knows could still be here.
