Head Turner Customs in Brampton. A friend from the Genesis crew referred him to me when I was looking into wrapping my car yellow. Also there is YST Auto in Mississauga near Square One.

My car has only been through one winter. It is not rustproofed. Seems to be just fine. Subaru's (and by extension the FR-S) thankfully don't have too many rust issues. I know tons of Subarus that are driven year round, and don't have a spot of rust. My 2004 WRX has a tiny bit of rust around the gas cap and at the base of the spoiler, but other than that, it's clean.

My buddy has an '09 Impreza hatch with about 170k, and his hatch is rusting just under the rear glass.

I was surprised to see that, because you're right; late-model Subarus are not known to rust.

By the way, funny story, 2 weeks ago I was at a gas station and since my ar has the toyota badges this one guy was so confused. He started to ask if this was some new special edition Toyota and i said no, it's a FRS and explained that everywhere else it's a Toyota 86 and the guy got so confused haha.

I think from now on, if anybody asks I will just say it's a Toyota 86 and have them look it up on google at home LOL.

By the way...took this pic a few days ago on my phone...and for some reason i just it! It really makes me appreciate the stock look

Just dip it! That's what I did! Too poor to buy new wheels.

Guys, help. I went and bought a reverse lock out that utilizes the original rolled pin that came with the stock lock out. However at the beginning I didn't have the proper punch key to get it out and after so many attempts my pin has misshapen and cannot be put back in.

If anyone here bought one of those Raceseng lockouts that uses set screws etc. and is no longer in need of the rolled pin that held the stock reverse lock out please let me know. Will show up with a large beverage of will and ethnic background lol.

That OEM rolled pin is the offspring of satan himself.

I was using an allan key that fit perfectly into the hole, but after half an hour of enraged banging away at it (nearly missing and smashing my radio/climate control a couple of times with the hammer), it still wasn't budging, and all I managed to do was break a large chunk of plastic off of the OEM lock-out. Cue expletives.

Came into work the next day and asked one of the mechanics at my dealership if he had a punch tool. He did. It took less than 5 minutes with the proper tool, from start to finish, but I'm wondering if I didn't bend the pin a bit like yourself, as the pin will no longer go all the way in and sticks out about 1-2cm from the back of the lock-out. Not enough to bother me, but just enough to scratch my thumb sometimes while shifting.

Good luck with replacing that, dude! I wonder if you could just order a new pin from Subaru or does the lock-out come as a whole piece WITH the pin...?

Which lock-out did you get?
