Wonderful! Being able to laterally shift the graphs solves my problem. Although the fundamental problem of why the starting point shifted for almost every lap changes was not solved but this works well enough for me. BTW, the GPS logged 8-12 signals during my last trackday last friday.

Ask the track nicely, when they close, and do a parade lap, starting from a complete stop. Set your capture radius to a smaller setting than the default.

I have a FR-S profile set up in my Device Configuration Manager alongside a generic OBDII attempt at an s2000 profile.

I started to review some of the data from a recent track day and found the data to from my OBDII channels were had zero values. Anyone else experience this? Did I miss something during setup?

BTW, AIM documentation SUCKS!

Hey,

EDIT: I re-read the last few pages of this thread after my analysis session and now it made sense so I went back and found the SNAP ON/OFF setting and I was able to shift times; but still made no progress.

I'm having trouble aligning the laps on a GPS position? Maybe I'm approaching this wrong so I'll explain...

I went off at Black Hawk Farms and damaged the car; which is fine.

I've been trying to analyze the data, and I'd like to compare my data through that turn; but obviously being a newer driver my lap times varied a bit. They seemed to be a very good and constant ~1:30 through the day, but the data is still a bit all over the place? I'm unable to really line up some of the laps to compare my entry/exit to the turn where I "supposedly" "lifted" causing snap over steer.

In order to learn more from the whole day and the accident I'd like to understand the data. I'm looking for advice on using race studio 2 (or should I be using something else?), to compare this properly. From my noob use of the software; it appears that throughout the day I was lifting a bit for initial rotation then right back on throttle (a no brake turn: just off throttle, turn in, back on). But some laps I am 100% throttle through the turn. My apologies I don't want to turn this into a track help thread; my focus is on how to read the data myself...

Once I understand it more, I'll post in a more appropriate thread with the data/youtube for more expert analysis to see if it aligns with my analysis.

Thanks,

-George

Nope, definitely not. Aim hardware is usually very resilient. When you say data goes missing, do you mean the unit powers off, and it's gone? Or it stays powered on, and just never starts recording?

I always recommend regularly dumping the data from the Solo to a laptop.

E.g. I ran Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and on Sunday when I pulled the data, Saturday was missing. This has happened a few times. Weird.

Might want to make sure your firmware is up to date. If everything else is working fine, I'd probably just contact Aim tech support.

Does anybody have AIM Solo DL data from laps on North Eastern U.S. tracks? NJMP Thunderbolt, NJMP Lightning, Palmer Motorsports Park, Lime Rock Park, Watkins Glen. Just got the unit and would like to learn with some data from familiar tracks. Thanks in advance
