Again that's mark up because of a name. my WRX saw decent gains and decreased spool time from an intake that cost $200.
I don't know maybe being a Subaru guy has me spoiled and expecting more for less Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |

Companies who embrace new products and spend hundreds of man hours testing and developing tuning parts frequently get the short end of the stick. There is no FDA to control licensing on a new drug to allow a company to protect their market share or design. As soon as the first companies drop their upgrades, the vultures swoop in to make cheap copies based on someone else's sweat. All the end user sees is all the prices dropping across the board and doesn't care why. If you're interested in paying less, then hold on to your money and wait for the laws of supply and demand to equalize. Some of us feel otherwise. Keep up the good work, guys. Companies like AIRAID develop a lot of loyalty by putting in the effort and being part of the community from the beginning.

man, if AIRAID sold this at only $250 itd be the lowest priced product by a very large margin, I bet. Dont hold your breath for a high quality, OEM finish product to be sold at that price, sorry guy~

Second, I do see your point. So instead of saying if they make it $xxx I'll buy it, I'll buy it if the the dollar to hp gain is decent I'll pic one up ( realizing that na cars do not gain as much from bolt ons, I'll have to research what a good $/hp gain is) Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |

I would do the same. ![]() I am not a rich man; the product definitely needs to be worth the cost (in my eyes).

AIRRAID -
How are you guys guarding against P1071 errors (A/F ratio - especially with high outside temperatures with high humidity)? I am VERY concerned with the A/F issues with the BRZ/FR-S/86. I would like to know how well this system has been tested for High Temp and High Humidity as to not throw an CEL code such as P1071 (Bank 1 - Too Lean A/F). Hi had an aftermarket intake installed (liked it), honestly, not as nice as this one - but today with the system on after several weeks without issues, I ended up having to go back to stock due to the ECU throwing a code due to the intake possibly leaning the car out too much or some other humidity related reason. Please address this question, as I am seriously interested in this system. Thanks! Last edited by xcelir8brz; 07-05-2012 at 08:49 PM. |

Well for one we are based in Phoenix, Arizona so we are not strangers to having warm weather to test in As far as the AFR, it's all lays in the design of the system. With utilizing the rotational molded part's, it allows us to hit very specific diameters and we are able to develop a system that not only allows for quite a bit more airflow, but also has proper MAF functionality so all that airflow is registered correctly. This is how we are able to make additional Horsepower & Torque without the need for aftermarket tuning. Keith has done an outstanding job with this system so far and from the last Dyno sheets I saw the AFR was spot on. I hope that helps to answer your questions. Thanks, David |

How have you tested for not just high heat, but humidity? I believe high humidity is the issue. Thanks for the quick reply! |

As far as the humidity I am not sure, but we have had multiple 110-112 degree days here in the last few weeks.
You will also see that the AIRAID is hands down the Highest Quality Intake system on the market for the Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ. The overall quality of components, Fit & Finish, and Performance of the AIRAID are 2nd To None! We will be offering this system at a very fair price point and we also offer a 30 day Performance Guarantee. If you are not happy with the product, you are free to return it in the first 30 days for a full refund. Thanks, David Last edited by Dave-ROR; 07-06-2012 at 01:38 PM. Reason: Mod Cleanup |
