Yes, cats out in everything we own. They don't check here, but may in larger cities.

Have you removed all the cats completely? I am curious if you will have to put them back on for inspection?

While the 86s are getting upgrades, I was forced to drive this POS to the Fast and Furious screening tonight. Alpha 12 build with about $200k in upgrades and 1200whp. It was painful I tell ya.

Late night welding session with Joe Kenefic at Forged Performance. Fabbing up a custom hard pipe to replace the rubber one in the background. And can we take a moment to just appreciate how awesome cell phone cameras are getting to be now.

Which phone? I am loving the camera on my Galaxy S7. Took this out of passenger side window while on the freeway.

Nice. Mine was with a Samsung Note 4 Edge, but they're all good these days.

Man, if I get an exhaust I'd have to get an inspection down somewhere like that. Jacksonville, Nc checks for cats.

That looks really good!!

I've always wondered, does removing the front OEM crash bar affect the structural rigidity of the frame or the handling of the car in any way?

Thank you! Totally removing it and not putting something back up there would IMO degrade the rigidity and handling, yeah. That bar connects the 2 frame rails together forming a box. There are a few other pieces/braces helping out, but removal would essentially be removing one side of that box.

Most (all?) other aftermarket "Crash Bar" replacements are a single tube that probably flexes and twists more easily than the stock box beam. We set out to design a replacement that would allow more space/airflow than the big boxy stock beam, without losing the torsional stiffness of the stock part. This beam utilizes 2 bars on each side welded to the mounting plate, so it should be as stiff or stiffer than the OEM piece, while still giving you lots of room for better cooling. It's made of DOM steel so not terribly lightweight, but nice and strong and only weighs 5 pounds more than the stock bar. This one also gives you a lower brace for mounting up things like the oil cooler, intercooler, or you could do rally lights, etc.
