When I was in High school, I hated the kids that had the new accords or Acuras. Plus, why would his son lie up to the principal. He would get in serious trouble and I'm sure he is smart enough to tell his Dad what happen instead of going through the whole process just to get in trouble.
Can and do get dings in the damndest places!
Being an honour student and athlete does not make him a great guy (in fact in my experiences it can be quit the opposite)!
I would rather have dealt with a mad principal then a mad father any day.
You made half my point on the jealousy part all on your own. You hated but did not damage.
If it wasn't the other kids before it sure may be now!!!!!!
Not going to debate further. I have no facts to support it but stand by my theory.

P.S. Would be very happy to be proven wrong when the facts come out from the videos!!!!!!

Tay Tay says to shake it off in this sort of situation.

but seriously, hopefully the roof will be removable with PDR.

my cars in high school were a 1990 Plymouth Acclaim and then a 1988 Nissan Stanza. put an AIWA cd/mp3 head unit and felt pretty cool.

I agree completely, when I was in high school I always envied the popular kids for having c250/350 and G35/37s and such when I only had a 98 Honda Civic that I couldn't drive to school. Being envious of others doesn't necessarily mean I have to damage their cars, sure I was envious and had some hate attached along but it doesn't make it right to damage someone else's car.

By the way, I think we all used the term jealous wrong in this post.

For the record: I am not offended by anyone comments. It is helping me cope.

My son would not damage his own car. We are a hard core hot rod family.

Up until a month ago he drove a pos clapped out jetta. No offense to jettas but car was falling apart.

Today, no new damage on fr-s....why? Cause the kid knows we are on to him. Turns out he leaves early because he is in a work exchange program. Now I can pinpoint the time to the school so they can check the video at a specific time.

He was probably wondering why there was an old man parked at the school staring at the kids. I'm on your side with this, but you're starting to sound a little creepy.

Glad to hear you are not offended.
I felt it important to point out that sometimes a witch hunt should start in your own back yard.
Wasn't implying he willfully damaged the car but a quick run on a back road with another car in front could result in those types of dings.
Yes, even on the hood (got one on my roof before from that very scenario) and these cars can ding if you hit a bug hard enough.
Just find it odd, that if it was a case of vandalism, the damage is so minor as they usually tend to do a lot more. A quick walk down the side with a key would make a much bigger statement then a couple of dings.
There doesn't seem to be any hard evidence at all that the guy you think did it as done anything. Looking at you in a parking lot is not a sign of guilt.
Hope you get it figured out!

Well I know if it was me sitting in the high school lot the kids would all be like: "why is the old guy in the cool car blasting Marilyn Manson"?
I have little doubt the police would be asking me the same question very shortly afterword.

My brother used my BRZ in his junior and senior year in high school. People liked to park next to him and some other kid with an FR-S. Luckily it was never keyed or anything. Or maybe they did but we just never noticed any. I had a dashcam and I occasionally see people respectfully checking it out. The BRZ really helped him make friends with the other car guys in school. But kids did think he was rich though, which was stupid.

I had my FRS in highschool, had it a few months before graduation. At our school it was a big no-no even messing with someone elses car, regardless if it was a rust bucket or some $60,000 car. Everyone knew each other, and no one messed with anyones car in any way shape or form. Our high school wasn't as big as maybe everyone else, it had about 500 kids. I don't know if I was popular, but I didn't have any enemies or people out for some petty revenge. Yeah some people disliked each other, but nothing serious other than the typical shit-talking. I had a solid group of 7 or so close friends, all car guys, ranging from my FRS, to an s14, to an E92 M3. There were other pretty notable cars in the parking lot too, a couple of G37's, 335i's. No one touched them at all, just admiration and looking around I suppose. I think it was a golden rule to not touch anyones car at all. I honestly can't imagine someone damaging someone else's car, it's such a weird thing to think of from where I'm from. Talking shit about one anothers ride was always present, but actual vandalism is sort of foreign to me. Thank goodness I went to school where I did, hope you get to the bottom of this OP.

I had a similar group of car friends except swap that s14 with a 350z and swap the e92 for an e36
