Hello,
My name is William. I would first like to say that I have been reading around this forum and I think this site is VERY well organized and VERY informative. All of the threads of note are well written and in a sequitur order and I almost didn't feel a need to post anything. I do not personally own a ZN nor a ZC. My interests comes mostly from owning an RX8 which I feel might be somewhat comparable and I now own a 2000 Impreza RS set up for ST in the SCCA which I believe the FRS/BRZ may become competitive. For the most part I may just lerk, but if I feel I have something of value I may put in my .02. Anyway, keep up the great work! Last edited by station2station; 08-06-2012 at 04:25 PM. |

Received my silver BRZ limited on August 4th after the guy that ordered it cancelled his order and I was presented with the chance to buy it. I bought this car to replace my Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track and Porsche Boxster S. So far I think it is one of the few cars that can adequately replace both in one shot.

I have been around the forums for a short time but thought I would introduce myself. I am Natasha. I have been following this the fr-s/brz thing since I saw the fr-s on the car show forever ago (a year? maybe..doesnt matter) So my husband and I went to Nanaimo BC to "look at it and make sure I want to keep saving for it and make sure it is what I want etc etc...so I can buy it in a year" well long story short, we went and test drove the BRZ and I decided that we HAVE to have it now. A year is way too long to wait. We ordered a Raven Sport tech BRZ at the end of June and hopefully it will be here in the fall so we can have fun with it before the winter.

I will tell you this, the dark metallic gray is the way to go. I have seen all the colors in person besides the dark blue and black. I took delivery of mine(BRZ) yesterday and the pictures online do not do it justice. The exterior matches the rim and interior so well especially if you got the limited with the leather. Sorry to burst anyones bubble who recently put down deposits, don't expect it soon. I put down my deposit the first day you could back in March and just received my car yesterday. Austin Subaru has a great GM and they treated me pretty towards the end. No mark up. If anyone else has one in the cen tex area or just wants to see it in person feel free to contact me through this forum.

Hi all. I have been lurking this site for a while and decided to join. Like most I have been following this car and am about a year out from getting one. (BRZ SWP). I live outside Portland Oregon and work near the Wilsonville Scion in which they have three FR-S's on the lot right now and one (silver) that just got the 5-Axis body kit and wheels. I am not a technical gear head I just loves cars. I grew up going to Cruz-ins in my dads '48 Chevy delivery sedan. I have had my share of cars in the past but currently dd a 2002 civic and the wife has a 2010 SWP Forester XT in which I love. I can't wait until the day I get my own BRZ! -Yeti

I have been on the boards since it started, but I think I want to move into the BRZ side rather than FRS. I bought an FRS, but man the conversation seems a lot more relevant over here
I have owned 7 Subaru's, but I bought the car for the AE86 Heritage and all of that, so I went with the Toyota version. Anyway, I am happy to be here. |

I'd been lurking here for a while...finally found an FR-S demo to drive last week, thought I'd be ordering an FR-S but the salesman made my wife ride in the backseat...big no-no, had to hear about it all week, randomly called a Subaru dealer...after salesman free test drive it was easy to convince the wife and grabbed my silica BRZ without waiting or hassle.

New here! Hello all... I'm a motorcycle road racer from Colorado, looked into a fun weekend car/trackday car and initially bought a Honda s2000, w/o ever sitting in/driving one. Picked it up, and hated it... too small for my 6'2" frame, so promptly sold it and was on the hunt for the perfect car.
Thanks to this forum for all of the info, I've owned one other subaru ('10 wrx) went and looked at a BRZ, never have I seen one on the road, I was blown away. Great car for the $$$$, ended up buying a Black BRZ Limited, and loving every second. My fiance and I really enjoying the car. Plans for car, make it comfortable on road, and work very well on a road course. New wider wheels and stickier tires will be ordered this week. Also will be looking for a simple aero package, similar to Charge Speed (which is ridiculously overpriced). Likely put on a set of double adjustable coilovers, and will look into a big brake kit, if the brakes are anything like my WRX they won't last on track. Looking forward to fun ownership of the BRZ! |

Hi all! Just picked up my BRZ on 8/4, silver Premium.
A little background, I first got into sports cars when I was 16 or so and watched my older buddy with his '82 Mazda RX-7 blaze up a curvy hill - I'd never really seen a car handle like that before. I ended up getting an 88 FC RX-7 a couple years later after graduating high school, then sold that in 2000 to get a 93 FD RX-7. Roughly 8 years ago the engine blew, I got screwed over by a local mechanic who claimed to be an "expert" but failed to even get the steering wheel reinstalled properly (let alone a persistent coolant buzzer and no boost/little acceleration over 3500 RPMs)... and I ended up driving my dad's old 88 Ford Escort for a couple years. Since then I bounced to a 2000 Subaru Legacy as I needed something reliable and reasonable for a new position at work, then upgraded to a 2007 Mazda CX-7 on which I racked up 100,000 miles in just a bit over two years. The last thing I drove was a 2010 Ford Focus as I wanted good gas mileage and a car I wasn't going to be upset with putting a lot of mileage on in a short while. It had 92,000+ miles on it when I traded it for the BRZ two and a half weeks ago. Fortunately, I have yet another new position with my employer and no longer drive non-stop five days a week, and I plan on owning this car for a long, long time. I cried when my 93 RX-7 blew... but now I've found the joy of driving again! And now you probably know way too much about my car history.
