Yea... definitely would like a HUD update (a.k.a. get rid of the analog speedometer!). But having the 1st gen models being able to swap it out with something newer sounds like it might be a little tricky /shrugs

Honestly, I don't think a LCD screen is that much more expensive than a few gauges.
Through OBD2, we can see oil and water temp. Shouldn't be hard to implement..

Because the current speedo requires like a magnify glass to see.

Oh I totally agree with you... but making it happen gonna take lil more than that, I think.

This! IF this is true then he is a good man lol! Although swapping an engine wouldn't be very cost effective.

Most likely, based on my sources, this is what they will be going for. I talked to Tadasonzo myself recently. In person. And he literally said, "86_truck" and walked away flapping his hands like bird wings. A pure genius

I talked to a friend of mine who works in the former Toyota F-1 engine shop. He said they are going to bring back the LFA, but branded as the Scion FR-S. He's not sure about the cost, though, but says they are working hard to find a way to trim 300K off the price of the car. Keep in mind Abe (Ahh-bay) does drink a lot of Soju. He said there is also some talk of calling the current FR-S the Scion LFA and adding 300K to the price. Who knows. I'm just glad I will be one of the few running around with a minty stock first-gen FR-S in a few years. Perhaps I can convince Abe to build me an LFA engine out of spares and have him come over and put it in my car and slap LFA badges on it. Profit, although I don't know if I could afford to take him out drinking more than once. Dude can put a away an amazing amount of booze without any visible effect and then bam! You suddenly have a very wasted, good-looking Japanese dude who won't stop hugging you.
