I wonder if any other Sti or WRX parts will be swap-able. Meaning you could bolt stock STi brakes right on without issue (cheaper alternative to after-market).

I doubt there will be a turbo model. It still sounds like speculation.

What is fact at this time is that a turbo fa20 is already under development and will power the next wrx @ 270hp. Everything else is just deductive reasoning. They have said the chasis was designed to handle more power, they have designed a more powerful engine that will fit, and there is room to add more power and still undercut a similarly equipped 370z which would be the primary competition. |

You're damn right I'm waiting for a turbo. I can live with mid 5 second 0-60 and about a 100 mph trap, but anything slower than that... jeeeeeez. I'm buying car for the handling, but having something so slow I have to open the door and push it along like a skateboard?

anyone notice that the article has been updated to say that a turbo version of the brz engine will be used in the next wrx. Something tells me someone at Subaru said something they shouldn't have to a reporter...
edit: the old version said something like "a turbo version is coming although a timetable has not yet been set." it was too different from what is written now to have been a misquote. I'm betting that Subaru called the writer to let him know that little tidbit was supposed to be off the record. |

While I would like the more powerful version I am sick of waiting. I will get this when it comes out unless they announce the FI model will come out in less than a year. I am willing to take the few thousand $ hit to drive the car I want now. Hell, maybe I can just get aftermarket FI kit for the 2013 model before they release the FI production one.
