I'm very surprised of the underbelly of the car. It appears most of everything is sealed away by panels and body pans, and the only thing really protruding is the piping which is how it should be. Must be a huge reduction in drag. But i guess most new cars have this attention to detail nowadays.

Remember when it was just a silver metal rod coming up through the console with some felt around the opening?

Meh, could be better :P Suspension components are not covered, and the entire rear is pretty messy. Camry hybrid/Prius are some pretty good underbodies

- No Heated Seats

- No Dual HVAC
- Red Accents were only for prototypes
- Bespoke is not standard
- To Change the Spark plugs you need to pull the front wheels and the inner fender plastic
- There's apparently a tube that transfers engine noise to the firewall for pleasure
- Release Window May - June (Late Spring)

After the event speaking to a Scion Rep at the booth later in the day, he told me straight up the price is 24K MSRP, However the Scion Reps at the event in the morning said it was still unconfirmed, so I'm guessing the Scion Rep was just guessing.

Sounds like they've improved the performance a lot, which is a good thing. I've just never been a Mustang guy. I've always preferred Camaros.
Well it would seem i will only have 4 days to make you a mustang guy.

They are behind the front wheels. The wheels need to removed along with a few panels to get to them

Yea, I do. I also remember when the silver metal rod came off the steering column.

Most of the aftermarket auto shifters for her car are more old school. Still trying to get her to go that way. In the end, I'll probably end up at a junkyard once she decides she can't live with it any more.

hmmm....

well this is all and good.... calling this a "tuner car" is reaching... a lot in fact.

it is too expensive base, the compression ratio is too high, the internals are too weak, it is N/A, and pretty small.

Sure you can bolt on a fart can exhaust, header, intake, MAYBE tune it a bit, and pick up 10-15 horse power, perhaps even 20, but a stock Gen coupe (either of them) r-spec will still walk all over you, both around a track and in a straight line.

Now if you drop 25k+ and build the motor, go FI, and do all the supporting mods you will make 400-500hp and kick ass, but honestly it still is nothing to write home about.
