I remember when we were speculating about the LSD it was viscous vs mechanical (torsen) and we were so happy when we found out that it was a mechanical. So like you Dimman I am still confused by the terminology. I'll just blame it on him being British.

Most excited I've seen Chris Harris since the last Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0....which was the most excited I've seen him since any other previous 911 [LOL]

Seriously though, a good review, and an amazing endorsement from a media guy with serious clout.

I have no money.

But I will find a way to buy one brand new.

Chris Harris is brilliant. Now, to pass it on to the Top Gear chaps for more visual aaaahhhhhh.

3) Brake fade? Hopefully that was after a full day of use by other auto journalist and not 10 min into spirited driving.
1) Yes.

2) Mechanical LSD generally refers to a clutch-type differential. They aren't popular for street cars due to noise and feel, but are superior on the track.

3) Stock pads, 'nuff said.

Too bad that won't happen since Best Motoring ended months ago. I did hear there will be a new car show coming out with him in it.

I've got a copy of Keichi's review. It is in a Japanese magazine titled "Toyota 86 New FR Sports" from Japan. Unfortunately, I can't read Japanese, so I haven't the slightest idea what he says.
